Potentially very useful because it is small and can indeed be carried in a pocket. But it is difficult to read because the letters are small. Still, I do recommend it.

I liked both the small compact size and the thick sturdy pages that should hold up well in the “field.” Due to its size the guide is brief on any topic, but it does cover most or all likely questions. I found it serves me best to jog my memory regarding something I may have already studied. A D850 owner MUST also have a complete manual in addition to this pocket guide. ... show more

The Nikon D850 is a fabulous - and complex - camera. I’m always looking for another “help me remember out in the field” guide. This guide has heavy cardboard covers and thick paper pages. Sturdy. It covers the usual button and function roles. But it allows you to list your preshoot preferred setting and gives a comprehensive and focused review of exposure, metering, and focus modes. It tells you how to do functions you might not do frequently such as multiple exposures, HDR images, and time lapse photography. It reminds you how to shoot several common situations such as portraits, group portraits, and landscapes. Finishes with a blank page where you can add your own notes. All in all a pretty perfect little memory guide at a reasonable price. The only thing I wish it had was several more blank pages to allow me to list a few more of my personal notes, but I can use a sticky note on the back cover I guess. ... show more
