  • Great handy tool to have when working in really tight spaces
Size: 16.5FT
What I liked: Very easy to set up and use. The camera can get into very tight spaces and be used to view things normally you wouldn't be able to find and see. The wire is long enough to feed into many different places. I was able to use this in a sink and find where a ring had fallen into. Used in a car engine bay to find a leak, again where only the camera could be used. The lighting and image quality are good enough to see everything. Have been using this for 2 months now and you'd be amazed at how much it can do once you find a need for it. What I didn't like: Nothing found wrong to report Overall I enjoy this tool and think it's something most households should have. It's easy to operate and use, and while it's not cheap, the application features when it's used, and the ability to see things you wouldn't be otherwise, is a huge plus. Would recommend this to others! ... show more

  • Excellent Amateur Borescope
I've had a borescope camera for a while, but one that used a wifi-connection to my phone and a dedicated app. At the time the price was good and I had no experience with borescope cameras. It's worked okay, but was also a bit of a hassle to connect to the phone and then remember which of the so-many-apps-on-my-phone app was associated to the borescope. With this borescope things got SO much easier/better. The most important difference is it has a dedicated screen and controller that the borescope cable plugs into. No fussing with connections and apps, just attach, turn on, and immediately see the image. The viewable portion of the screen measures 4-inches diagonally, and fits in the hand the way smart phones did before they became mini-tablets. The cable connects at the top and buttons are at the bottom, making it easy to hold and control the different functions. Images are seen in a portrait (vice landscape) orientation. The borescope itself is 10 feet (I didn't measure, but felt about right). They make longer cables, but realistically they get unwieldy with length. I've never had a need approaching 10 feet, so I'm confident this will meet most needs. The cable is 'semi-ridge', and is a good balance of flexibility and ridge to shape as needed. It ships coiled up, and takes a few minutes to straighten. It wants to retain some curve, but that's typical, but can be worked to meet the requirements. It came with two velcro ties that allow you to wrap and store the cable in a manageable size. They have a loop at one end to keep them on the cable, but I elected to slide them off the end and use loose so as not to interfere with placement of the borescope (or get hung up somewhere you don't what to be hung up, so pretty much anywhere you'd put a borescope). The viewer and controller is plenty bright and easy to hold. The design is ruggedized-ish, with hard plastic body. Some rubber edges would have been a welcome addition as these can experience some rough handling when working. The interface with the camera is controlled with buttons on the bottom and the sides. On the bottom is a Mode button to switch between photo, video, and playback. There is also a Settings button. Navigating the menus is with up/down/OK buttons. Feels like a step back 20 years in menu design, but it works well enough and is responsive, if a bit counter-intuitive. On the left side is the power button turning device off and on. Two buttons on right side adjust camera light brightness and taking photos. At the bottom of the unit is a rubber covering for the USB-C charging port, the included 32 GB memory card, and a tiny reset button. While looking at the borescope's image you can flip it 180 degrees and zoom a couple steps. This is the primary difference between an entry-level device and a more professional design. Higher-end borescopes will have infinitely-rotating image that lets you better align your image and orientation. However, for most causal users, this is more than sufficient. Other nice features are the borescope has two cameras. Obviously there is the one at the end facing out, but a second side-viewing camera is included. You switch between the two views with a dedicated button on the cable head where it attaches to the viewer/controller. Attaching the cable it locks in and is released with a button on the back of the unit. Overall, this is a huge step up from my other phone-connected/app-controlled borescope. It's currently priced at $90. There are so many borescopes on Amazon, and so many price points it can be hard to know which one to get. Whether this is a good choice will really come down to durability, and that's something only time will show. But one area I don't have to worry about is the device not being supported with a current app, always a risk with phone-controlled devices. For my household and shade-tree mechanic requirements it absolutely meets my needs. There may be better at this price, but I haven't used them. I've used this one and am very happy with it. Recommend. ... show more

  • A Nice Step Up From My Old Unit
This is a step above my old borescope and has some nice features. You get a front camera and side camera on the snake head, which really improves your ability to see what you need to see. With 16-feet of flexible endoscope snake, this unit can be used for huge variety of things from automobiles to plumbing issues. The snake is stiff enough to force through tight bends. The unit also features 32GB of internal flash memory so you can record your adventure for future playback. The screen is a little smaller than my old unit, but the image quality is good enough that it works fine. Battery life is good. The included instructions are OK and the unit is fairly intuitive. There are numerous borescopes on the market at every price point you could want. This unit may be a good fit for many people... just do your homework. ... show more

  • Works great
This is great for seeing into spots you could usually see into. I've even used it to look under the bed for missing shoes! It is small enough that I can fit into small pipes when checking for cracks. The picture quality is great. It is also very easy to set up and use.

  • Amazingly helpful for a lot of uses around the house.
I am truly impressed with this product. I originally bought it to see what was going on with one of the toilets in our home and keep finding more and more uses for this Anykit Dual Lens Borescope Inspection Camera. One of the toilets wasn't fully flushing and plunging/drain cleaners did nothing. Before taking the entire toilet off, I wasn't to make sure it wasn't anything I could take care by using a snake or toilet auger (neither of which I owned). The camera has a light on the end, the display is pretty awesome and I was able to see that the blockage was caused by a toilet paper roll - the cardboard part. It was super clear. This saved me from getting a plumber or taking the toilet off. I tried attaching what looked like a hook that came with the camera to the end but the toilet roll would just break so I went and bought a toilet auger. That did the trick and saved me a lot of time, money and hassle vs getting a plumber or pulling the toilet. I've also found it useful for several other things. I wanted to run a speaker line in a wall and it kept getting stuck. I used the camera to find out the wall had a horizontal stud in the way. I wouldn't have known this and probably made a big hole trying to figure it out. Other times I used it to find out what was clogging our gutter, a screw that rolled under a washer and where a toy was stuck in the vac line of our pool. All those things are great and you can even take photos that get saved to the included SD card. However, one limitation is the line can be a little too flexible for certain projects so keep that in mind. Nonetheless, super happy with and had no idea all the uses I'd find for it. ... show more
