    • Borescopes take technique and practice to use.
I’ve been using horoscopes for 40 years on jet engines. They cost thousands of dollars this is a very good price for an in-home baroscope and even though it does not articulate, you can bend the end and it kind of stays where you bend it and it works very well for a lot of around the house things you can look down an intake manifold at the valves to see if they’re carbon up Battery last a long time it’s just a really very very good tool for the money ... show more

Needed this to check on stopped pipe in bathroom. Really pleased with it and the quality. Only downside is that there is no case and no way to keep the small attachments together with the camera. Would give it five stars otherwise. Still, highly recommend this at this price point.

We had a critter living in the engine compartment of one of our vehicles, and it would have been impossible to find the nest without this! Long battery life and clear picture helped us in this mission. The stiffness of the cable was actually helpful in maneuvering the camera through tight spaces.     • Worked great for dryer vent cleaning
I usually clean out my dryer vent myself each fall. This year, I decided to get this camera to see how I was doing. The vent has a bend in it. So, I tied the camera to the snake I use to get past the bend. I was able to see all the way into the vent. Needless to say, I saw that I needed to do a better job cleaning.     • This has come in handy multiple times in the past couple of months. Period
I have always wish that I had had one of these on hand when I lost a part or to determine whether or not there were electrical wires or plumbing behind the drywall in a home. This is very very handy. I needed to verify that a residential tub had a P-trap. I was able to scope through the pipe and verify that without having to dig up concrete. Also did another plumbing job where one of the parts that was metal fell down behind the drywall. Scope also has a clip and a magnet that you can attach to the end and it allow us to locate the missing part and retrieve it with the magnet. The price is great for multiple uses. ... show more

    • Good camera quality
Cam video is good and monitor is nice. Needed to look into hvac vents to see if damaged but can only push into vent about a ft or two then the cable stiffness is gone and just coils up. Will try their push pull wire spool and see if has better rigidity to help feed cable down the vents.

    • Glass cracked on first use
Overall the device works more or less as expected and the image quality is decent. But after using it to examine my main sewer line (and I even added some protective padding to keep it from dragging on the bottom of the pipe), the glass on the front of the camera cracked. It seems to be less than durable. I also missed the length when ordering- I was under the impression that it’s longer than it actually is. It’s only 16.5 feet, which ended up being much shorter than I needed. So take note before you purchase. ... show more
