    • Fantastic whelping pad that has made my life a lot easier!
I raise Goldendoodles and Labradoodles, and so I go through a lot of whelping pads in a year. In the past I had been using the standard 48" x 48" whelp pads inside my boxes, but they are not quite big enough to keep them from bunching up beneath my dogs, and when whelping their feet keep sliding out from beneath them so they cannot assist in birthing their pups. I ended up having to hold my girls up all the time so they could have puppies. Also, those pads stain terribly and have to be thrown into a washing machine, so dog hair ends up plugging up my washing machine if I don't clean out the filter constantly. So when I saw these pads and how they would come clean with a hose and no slippage, I bought one. What a huge difference!!! I kept thinking, 'why didn't I buy these first?' Size is perfect at 48" x 52" for my whelp boxes, so my bumper rails keep them snug in place. And cleaning with a hose is exactly as they say, a breeze with all the stains gone instantly. They have an amazing surface that provides great traction for the moms, and I don't have to hold them up anymore. The bottom is a lovely neoprene that prevents leaks to the floor, and it sticks like a magnet to my Jonart PVC floors. I purchased 5 so I would have backups. I hose them, let them air dry, dilute a bleach mixture (very diluted or you will spot the gray colored surface), spray them down and let them air dry once more. Clean, sanitary and efficient. The pups stay in their whelp boxes until they are four weeks old, and all messes hose right off, no problem! Also, my girls nest big time. I'm talking they tear regular sheets up clawing them around. I feared that might happen with these as well, but no. Try as they might they could not tear up these great whelp pads. If I could be in love with a whelp pad, I am with this one When my life is made easier by a product, I like to tell everyone about it. And delivering puppies is a stressful deal, so these pads are a blessing!!! ... show more

I bought from this company before at walmart, a small cat litter mat, made of this same material. I has a basement flood, and hadn't replaced it yet because it was rather small. I decided to look up the brand to see if there were other sizes and found this one. It's perfect for littler boxes if you have multiple. It's large enough that when they jump out of the box, they are able to take many steps on the rug and get litter off their paws, containing the spread of litter. Happy I waited and didn't buy mulitiple smaller ones, as this large size saved me a lot of money. ... show more

Good at protecting the floor. Not super absorbent, accidentally rolled a bunch into me. That was fun. just more careful now. Washes well been through the washer a few times. Has a strong smell that won’t go away kinda chemically.

Edit: the seller sent me a new one and I have not had any issues with the rubber disintegrating with the new mat so I suppose I just got one from a bad batch. Great customer service! At first I loved this pet carpet, it did a good job keeping the crate/feeding area easy to clean because it was washable. However, after around the 3rd washing the rubber backing started disintegrating in multiple places and now any liquid that gets on it goes straight to the floor, removing the cleaning benefit since the whole point was to be able to just clean the pet carpet vs the whole floor everytime. I only washed it on the gentle cycle on cold, never with bleach, and hung to air dry. I am very disappointed it did not hold up longer than a month. ... show more

Worked well as a pee pad, but pretty large to wash every day so better as a secondary boundary. Worked better than a tarp because it didn’t allow moisture to move but absorbed it! Very large so puppies couldn’t pull it up under gates or a whelping pen. Stays flat!

The media could not be loaded. I was skeptical about how this would work in the new crate I just purchased but it worked out PERFECT! The dry mat is firm and easy to clean. No odor and has a non slip surface on the bottom. My favorite part about the product is that you can cut it to size for any sized crate. Easy to clean and machine wash friendly. These pads works well for the intended job. They don't leak through. The issue I have and had I known this I would not have purchased this brand. They are marketed as non slip. They are as non slip as oil. All you have to do is look at they and they slide. I have slipped and almost fell on them more times than I should have. ... show more
