  • Conserve water and save money with pinpoint watering
If you garden, want to conserve water and save money on your water bill, this product is for you. Everything in the kit is well made; you get all you need to install a pinpoint watering system. I like the layout assistance and ease of putting all the parts and pieces together, except for the final diffusers. More on that later. Here are a couple of tips for a smooth installation. First, collect a few tools; tape measure, utility knife/heavy-duty scissors, landscaping fabric staples, and grippy gloves. Next, install your water diffusers where you want them and start measuring out your tubing. The larger tubing provides the main supply; you use four-point manifolds to geed the individual diffusers. When you cut the tubing, make the ends as square as possible. Slanted cuts can allow leaks. Push the tubing until it is flush with the manifold or diffusers. Here's where the grippy gloves come in handy. Connecting the 1/2" tubing is easy. Connecting the 1/4" tubing is not. It takes a fair amount of pressure to connect it properly. Having grippy gloves makes it a lot easier. Another tip to keep things simple is using landscape fabric staples to keep the manifolds in position. The tubing comes in a coil, and it's hard to keep the manifolds flat without holding them in place in some way. The staples are an ideal solution, and I only used one per manifold. The company makes it easy if you need to add another diffuser, as I did. They include T-fittings you can use with the 1/4" tubing. I cut out one diffuser, inserted the fitting, and added some additional tubing and two diffusers. Easy as you please. Keep one thing in mind, once you connect the tubing, it is not coming off! I cut the tubing close to the diffuser and later carefully cut the tubing off. Connect it to your faucet and turn on the water. Increase it gradually. I made several adjustments in water pressure at the faucet and fan spray diameter by adjusting the blue screw cap. Be careful not to open adjustable diffusers too far, as they will pop off under higher water pressure, creating your very own little geyser. That's not a problem, as you can screw them back on while the water flows, unlike trying to attach a nozzle to a garden hose while the water's running. Picture 1 shows my raised garden layout before turning on the water. Picture 2 shows the system in action at the initial water pressure. Picture 3 shows the system operating at final pressure and fan adjustment. I like that I can apply water only where I need it instead of wasting it on fences and sidewalks with an area sprinkler, which never get any bigger, regardless of how much I water them. This is a great kit that gives you lots of options. I highly recommend it to gardeners everywhere. ... show more

  • A nice assortment for any backyard or patio project.
I am redoing my patio area and didn’t have a good idea of exactly what I wanted to do going into it, so it’s helpful having a kit with so many accessories to cover just about every need you might have for your flowers and garden. The price was competitive to other options I looked at both locally and online. The parts all seem to be well-made. There were no manufacturing errors or culls that needed to be thrown away. They all connected nicely and even accepted some parts from another old kit I had laying around. No leaks and the water came through the emitters at the rate I expected them to. Time will tell if they hold up to weather and UV rays and other fairly harsh conditions. Everything has been great during the initial installation phase so far. It easily covered a 10’ x 20’ area for me, but your miles may vary depending on the density of your plants. If they can keep it under $30, I would consider it a good value. ... show more

  • Good for small space
If you're planning on using this for a whole garden, I'd tell you there are much better options out there for not much more. I used this to supplement a few beds that I didn't feel like adding to our main system, which covers an 80' x 55' garden. I ran it to individual plants in two different beds. It worked well enough for what I used it for. It's cheap, so I was really only expecting one season out of it. I just pulled it up for the winter, and it was in just fine shape, so I put it away for next year. ... show more

  • Great kit
First off, I love the idea behind this kit. Plenty of options to install this in your garden. Tried out both stake nozzle types and both work well. Then tried the mist nozzles and was kinda let down. Ours only drizzled water and didn't mist. Kit comes with plenty of hose and fittings to do a decent sized garden. Ours is 20x60 and the kit covered that size. Just make sure you have the water pressure to use the kit. The water pressure in our home only let us do about 1/3 of the garden with full pressure coming out of the nozzles we had out. When stretched to the whole garden it only watered the closest areas to the main line then pressure fell out. ... show more

  • Drip Irrigation System
I already have drip irrigation all throughout my landscaping but over time, many components need to be replaced especially with the really hard water where I live. The nozzles get clogged with mineral deposits and either stop working altogether or barely spit out water. The hoses last longer but can also become brittle and dry over time. This set has pretty much everything you need to support an existing system and most of what you need if just starting out. The hoses are more flexible than the ones I currently have but I like that as it allows them to be more easily curved around plants in your garden. Considering all the pieces you get, I feel the current $30 asking price is a good value. ... show more

  • Everything you need to get started
Impressed with multiple connectors and water delivering heads available in the kit. The 1/4 cable is as good as any I have used before. Eager to try all of them. The color instruction manual is adequate for people having experience with irrigation system. First time buyer needs to check internet instruction and video to get started: for example, how to punch holes and connect pipes and watering heads. Tips for first time buyer: 1. buy additional 100 feet 1/2 pipe. The included one is good for a tiny garden only; 2. buy a hole puncher. The three push-in connectors are enough only for a tiny garden. There are many more watering heads to be connected with 1/4 pipe and punch holes. ... show more

  • a good supplement
This arrived ok, and all the parts listed are there. I can’t install it yet until I get a filter and pressure regulator, which will probably be in a few months. If you already have existing drip irrigation this would be good to supplement at this price, but not that great as a new set up because it doesn’t include everything you actually need. Once I can test, I will update my review. ... show more
