I LOVE this product. I put it under my pillow and it works great... until the battery died. Instructions say to recharge it when the light comes on. It is so good, I completely forgot it needed to be recharged. I put it under my pillow and read the directions again after it died. I sent a request to the seller a while back, but cannot find the answer on Amazon. Now, I leave it plugged in and put it back under my pillow. The way the charging cord fits in is an awkward angle, but the downward portion with the plug fits between the mattress and the headboard and still wakes me up (on the highest vibration - I have a "profound" hearing loss). It is better completely under the pillow even when plugged in. I asked if the battery could be recharged now, but after a few months of keeping it plugged in, it will not recharge. Never allow it to discharge all the way and this will work for most people with severe hearing loss. For the price, I could just order another one. It is a great product! But, please read the directions and do not let the battery completely die before recharging. ... show more

If you asked my husband he could verify that I am a very sound sleeper. We had the older version and I would sometimes drop it off the bed or often times could not find it in my pillowcase and my husband would need to wake me to get to the shaker. I love that this has a strong vibration. I am totally deaf so I sleep with it under my pillow. I turned the volume off since there's no reason for me to have the volume on. I use just the vibration on the strongest setting and it vibrates my whole pillow.

As a newly adult (18 years old) with my first EARLY and full time job, AND hard of hearing, this has worked WONDERS!! I've tried various alarms and none have been able to wake me up as I'm a heavy sleeper and hard of hearing (fully deaf in one ear, and 30% in the other) but none have been able to wake me up such as this. I pull the strap (included) over my shoulder and place the device inside my shirt so I could feel the vibrations (at 100%) and it gets the job done. I will say that I'm not a fan of the placement or size of the snooze button as when I reach for it, I accidentally click it whilst I attempt to turn off the alarm, but other than that, it's definitely worth the purchase! ... show more

I’ve had this alarm clock for almost two months now, and I’ve only charged it once after the initial charging. It isn’t the loudest alarm clock, but it does have a high enough pitch that it wakes me up, and the bed shaking is very effective. It’s super easy to set and change the time/alarm. It’s small enough that I don’t really feel it underneath my pillow when I’m sleeping. My biggest problem is that it does fall off the bed sometimes and I wake up to it rattling on the floor. They added an extremely large string to the alarm clock, in hopes to somehow prevent it from falling on the floor but unless I tie the string to something, it’s not really gonna do anything.. otherwise, this is a very great alarm clock, and I definitely recommend it for heavy sleepers. ... show more
