This kit contains everything you need to start practicing. It’s very easy to use! Do not use the ink that comes with it, go buy some legit brand tattoo ink, you also may want to invest in some carbon transfer paper and some green soap. Other than that this kit is wonderful. It comes with some decent needle cartridges, they stay sharp and get the job done. The machine itself is small and quiet, yet powerful. The power box works great, the voltage and power never drop or fluctuate while using it. I’ve used this kit for practicing and doing real tattoos, it can and will push a needle, and with the corded version you will always have the correct amount of voltage going through for whatever you are doing. Don’t let others fool you by saying you can’t start with this, or tattoo with this. I know it is not a professional and expensive machine, but it does get the job done, and if you know what you are doing your tattoos will come out just fine. It’s more about your own personal technique than about the machine you are using, although the machine does make some difference. This is an excellent product. I was a bit concerned due to the low price point, but I went with the ratings and purchased anyway. This machine has worked great for both lining and shading. I would recommend purchasing a separate pedal. The one provided works but is not anything spectacular. I'm a beginner and this has been easy to set up and use. It makes very little noise and is super lightweight. Unfortunately, I did have an issue with my machine. Every company is going to have a defective product of the line every once in a while. I judge a company on how they handle the matter. Dragonhawks' customer service was fantastic. They responded and resolved my issue within hours. ... show more

I am a PMUA and I needed a back up gun... I've seen a lot of other artists use these guns, so I looked up the price and bought TWO! I was not disappointed! This little thing is on point. Literally! Low vibration, smooth stroke, great for beginners, and all around pretty impressive! I have a $600 machine and this little baddie is just as good. I will say I was super sad I didn't get any stickers to stick on my gear. 😣 I'm all about promoting businesses like this that make superior and affordable products.     • Great tool but bad design for needle retraction
So I’m a noob, maybe I don’t know how to keep it from happening, but this rotary pen extends and retracts the needle by twisting the top. So as I tattoo the needle will come out and blow the fake skin, or go in and I have to stop and adjust it. The cartridges are easy to use, and the noise is definitely a minimum. ... show more

I'm a licensed tattoo apprentice at the very end of my apprenticeship. and I cant say enough good things about this machine. Its light, it lays down lines great and it's so quiet. I've used my mentors machines and this one out performs them. If you're on the fence, it's worth it. Dont get me wrong, the power supply isnt great and I'd change out the rca cord. But the machine itself is amazing. I'm about 6months in (and so many hours) and it hasn't skipped a beat. I've run out for about a 5 hour session at a time and it did not overhead It isnt a hard hitting machine, so you may need more than one pass on some colors or very thick lines. ... show more

Amazing tattoo rig!! It's so lightweight and easy to handle! You hold it like a fat pen! And it's so quiet that bystanders wouldn't know there's a tattoo going on around them if they didn't see it happening! Works great for depth control too! And I love the fact that it's fast to set up and changing needles is just a few clicks. Couple clicks to remove needle cartridge and a couple clicks to put on the new one!     • Stopped working!
When I first got this mast tour, it worked great. I use it with the cord attachment and power supply so the weight wasn’t an issue for me. I received this in May. Yesterday, I was about to use it, put in my cartridge and stepped on the foot pedal and it wouldn’t turn on. I’m not sure what happened as I keep it in a closed drawer free of dust and moisture. Very disappointed that this happened after only less than 3 months of use! I would expect at least a year out of this machine! ... show more
