I decided due to cost reasons that professional coloring was no longer feasible for me (and box coloring had previous damaged my hair) - it was time to just go gray. About 8 weeks in I knew it was going to be a problem for me with the drastic line of 50% gray hair growing in.) Even though this product does state it is not for grays, it did take on my stubborn grays! And one bottle will last several applications. Once my hair is grown out I can more easily let the grays show as it is a semi permanent. This left my hair feel so conditioned and shiny. This is a phenomenal semi permanent color and gloss. I tried them all before this one. It's the best in my opinion. I hope this company sticks around cause I need this product in my life forever! I used dark brown on natural dark brown and gray. I have been growing my gray patches for over a year and wanted a temporary color to help fill in the gray during the awkward stages. I had some success with other brands that were bright, fun yet unnatural colors. When I switched to those brands' brown or black they left behind a purple, blue or green color on my grays or wouldn't color them at all. This product has a high level of pigment and leaves a range of browns that ended up looking like highlights and the darker hair super shiny. I used this color immediately after a keratin treatment so that may have affected the level of saturation. (May have been even richer if I didn't just apply keratin) I was surprised how well it colored. I left it on damp hair for 30 min to get as dark a color as possible on my extremely stubborn gray roots. The formula is perfectly slick and covers all of the hair easily without being runny at all. It stains skin and bathroom surfaces more than most, so be careful. Next time I will try using before the keratin and after to really seal the color in and replace any color lifted during the process. It didn't undo the keratin either in case anyone is wondering. In my photo it's easy to see my once gray hair looking blonde to light, medium and darker brown. Very very happy and highly recommend. ... show more

I have purchased this product twice and was initially satisfied with my purchase. The first time, I ordered the copper shade, and it was found to be similar to the advertised color, although it was a bit brighter than expected. However, the second time I purchased the Auburn shade, the color was vastly different from what was advertised. I even tried applying twice following all of the instructions and waiting the full 20 minutes both times. The actual color was only slightly darker than the copper shade and appeared even brighter when exposed to sunlight. I want to clarify that I have naturally dark hair with balayage highlights. I have attached a picture of my hair straight, which was intended to be the Auburn color, and another picture of my hair curly, which was intended to be the copper color. I have also included a third picture that shows the colors depicted on the bottles for comparison purposes. Despite the inaccurate advertisement of the Auburn shade, I do not think that the product is inherently flawed. It still effectively delivers its intended purpose and leaves my hair feeling great. I did end up returning the Auburn which I received a full refund. I do plan on ordering another color in the future. ... show more

Please allow me to begin with a couple positives and qualifying notes: 1. I would almost certainly love this product were I a brunette with reddish highlights. Could be a game changer; 2. My hair was well-conditioned; 3. Blondes inherently know that such a product is a gamble to cover roots. Because this product met my low expectations, I do not feel disappointed. It was worth a gamble. A couple negatives: 1. My short blonde hair shown in the before picture required half a bottle of the expensive product; 2. I am not a brunette. I was a dirty blonde before this product. I am now a strawberry blonde. As my 1” dark blonde roots provided quite a contrast against brassy highlights and I looked like garbage, I wanted to cut back on the ‘given up on life’ vibe my hair was throwing. The stark contrast of my natural hair color against processed blonde does appear less egregious than before using this product. Not great but decidedly less offensive to the eye. But again, this was at the cost of changing my hair color. Two hours ago, my driver’s license description for hair color was accurate. Now it’s not. I hope this review helps one of my blonde sisters. When you look at YouTube and don’t see lighter blondes reviewing, when you read these reviews and aren’t impressed with the results of a few blondes posting, be aware that you will not get the wonderful results about which brunettes boast. You may consider running a query for “blonde” and focus on reviews by our people only. Of the hundreds of reviews I’ve left on Amazon, only 1 received 1 star. I do not recall ever leaving a 3 star. Almost always leave 5 star reviews. For instance, the shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair from this line is next level. It makes every strand of hair feel like it’s wrapped in silk. These reviews matter to businesses so I do not issue 3 stars or under lightly. The only reason I am doing so is to ensure another blonde, who’s perhaps not as mellow as I am about potentially pulling a lot of red, from a bad experience. ... show more

This product actually colored my hair and it looked nice. I got a white streak thru my hair in my 40 by the 50's it was all white and wouldn't take the dyes. They would wash out like a semi permanent. Now in my 70's I am really tired of it. My daughter told me about this so I decided to try it and it colored nicely. ... show more

My hair is dark brown with some grey at the roots and some dark blonde at the ends (natural, no dye). I hate the inconsistency and feel the dark brown color suits me best. This product evens out my hair color and leaves hair looking shiny and feeling soft. I use a 2-3 pumps after each wash.
