The bedspread was tightly vacuum-packed in a small, bedroll shape, hence a small box. On opening, the odor of Formaldehyde was unmistakable, but typical. Washing instructions were included on an attached tag: cold water wash only. I did that first thing, on delicate, cold wash and low dry cycle - no dryer sheet or fabric softener because of microfiber fabric. The bedspread fluffed up nicely with this process, but the packaging wrinkles were still very much present afterwards. The tag says NOT to iron, but the wrinkles were still visible, so I used a "synthetic" level low heat on the pillow cases. No change in wrinkles from that effort, but stuffing the pillows into the cases did a better job of smoothing out the wrinkles. The bedspread still has wrinkles and lines on it from being vacuum-packed. For the price, this item makes an attractive appearance. It is very thin and light, so probably not so cozy on a winter night, but adequate for summers. ... show more
