When I buy certain products that needs to get stuck to my car, they usually send some double sided tapes that are GARBAGE. I decided to just buy this 16 Ft tape and it works a LOT better. * People who has never used double sided tapes, MAKE SURE to use a heat gun or a lighter to heat up the adhesive parts so it can stick A LOT better. if you don't it'll come off easy and you'll think you wasted your money.     • Now again, we're inseparable
I surprised my twin brother with this on Christmas. When we were young we were Siamese Twins. Mom and Dad had surgery performed on us shortly after our birth. But we never quite felt quite right.     • Super tacky with a little heat.

Made a custom kydex Keel guard for my kayak. Used this tape to fasten it. I noticed that if you warm up the tape with a heat gun a little before applying it it becomes super sticky. Once everything cooled down it's like the keel guard is welded to my kayak. I would literally need a hammer and a chisle to peel this off. Will update review if I have any issues using this for an underwater application, but so far this seems like it made an incredibly strong bond. ... show more

    • the backing is impossible to get off without a blade, and it doesn't stick to poly moldings
I purchased a front lip spoiler off amazon for my civic. It came with 6 screws. I felt like it needed more, so I bought this tape. It did NOT stick onto the spoiler. The spoiler is made of black, poly material. So I needed to purchase an adhesion promoter made by 3M called K520. I can't find it anywhere on amazon on ebay. It's only sold through other sites. Anyways, I applied the solvent or whatever it's called onto the front lip, and within a minute, I applied the tape. It stuck like GLUE at that point. Not sure why it needed that, but it definitely did. I did not need to apply it to my front bumper because that is painted, and the 3M tape stuck fine to that. Once I got in on however, I could not peel the backing off. I probably struggled with it for about 10 minutes before looking at a video online. The video recommended I use an Xacto blade, or some sort of a knife, to penetrate the backing, and pull up on it, even if it meant tearing into the tape. That's just ridiculous. I think they need to make one side of the backing slightly overlapped, so you can pull it once it adheres. If there's a video online, that means so many people have had issues with it, someone had to make an instructional vid to help the poor souls out. ... show more

    • Real 3M?
I'm not so sure the tape I received was real 3M tape... I've bought the 3M heavy duty before and it was thicker and stuck way better than this. The packaging was also suspect, in a plain plastic bag that had a "Made in China" emblazoned on it instead of a proper 3M packaging. I had a couple of very light plastic items I stuck onto a dry wood wall that fell off – never had that problem with the prior tape. Also, it is very difficult to take the backing off the tape as has been mentioned here. In all, I can't recommend what I received from this seller. The real 3M tape is great and I've had items stuck outside for years with it. ... show more

    • It's sticky and less messy than glue
I bought the tape to help me reattach the various badges on my car after taking them off for painting. I had originally expected to use some form of glue but was worried about the messiness. This tape offered a clean, relatively easy solution. I had very narrow surfaces to attach, so had to trim the tape to about 1/8" in width. It had enough flexibility to allow me to slightly shape the tape over the curving surface of the Toyota emblem. The only problem was in the removing of the protection on the one side of the tape. It's not easy to remove. I tried using my fingernail but couldn't separate the tape from its backing. I then found a small pointy instrument similar to a dental tool, and was able to pry the backing from the tape. After that, it was just a matter of sticking the badges on the car. They look good and there's no oozing glue to worry about. I'm very happy with the outcome. I'll have to look around for other possible applications of your tape. I'm sure I'll find more uses in the coming months. It's nice to know I have it on hand for when the time comes. ... show more

    • Strong adhesive and easy application
This double sided tape is very useful and very strong. Once applied properly, it does not come off without a decent bit of effort. The tape is easy to apply and very easy to peel off the plastic to reveal the second sticky side. I would reccomend this to my friends and I will likely be buying more as I need it.     • Works well without damaging the paint on walls and doors.
The media could not be loaded. This product is perfect for hanging up posters or other decor for kids. I hung up a poster, then immediately checked to see if I could also take it down without ruining the paint. It sticks well, and feels / looks like slightly padded electrical tape. I am pleased with it so far, and am using it in a rental where I want to keep things as pristine as possible. ... show more
