Easy installation in my Motorhome. I bought a second one to upgrade my 2011 Ram Dakota but have not installed yet. This is one of the few Double Din stereos with a Cd/DVD player and it works well. Lifetime warranty also if you complete the Registration. What's not to like? Great Company and Vendor.

It was easy to install for the professionals. The CD part works great, that's the last i was really excited for. the Bluetooth connectivity works excellent as soon as my phone is in range it connects. The stereo picks up channels for radio. It's easy to set the date and time. The screen is a decent size passenger's in the back can clearly see the time and date. Haven't tried the USB and SD card part as yet There is Ios mirror and android auto so it's easy to set up maps to see where you're going! Stereo was easy to install and I'm not a professional. I ordered the wiring harness and radio antenna and was able to follow the clear instructions to install this by myself. Sure, it's not perfect (I need the trim pieces surrounding it) but it works great and was easy to set up to mirror my phone. I can use my GPS and music accounts easily. Customer service was very helpful with some tricky questions I had related to my wiring harness. Great purchase and great value! ... show more

    • My experience so far...
I would not buy this again. Started the install process, then went out of town for the weekend...took the wiring harnesses with me. Found some time to wire up the radio harness to the Metra 70-1858 OEM adapter harness. There is a diagram for the Metra connector over on Crutchfield. To my dismay, the radio side of the wires, only labeled half! I have different colors on the Metra connector than on the radio side . So much for getting that step pre-fabbed for a quick hookup when I get back home. That's kind of stupid to only label HALF. It would be nice if they'd at least include a wiring diagram on their product page. That's just BASIC info you NEED. I'm shocked no one else mentioned this in their review. Minus half a star...so far . More to come. UPDATE: Back home now. Scanned thru the booklet. Started at the WIRING section. Nope. Worked my way forward to page 4, where I finally found the speaker wire colors in the "Rear Interface Description". 🙄 This thing is giving me a headache. If anyone happens to lose access to their booklet... Front left is the white pair, Front right is the gray pair , Rear left is the green set, Rear right is the purple pair. UPDATE 2: After install I noticed much less audio fidelity than the GM head unit. I believe this is due to a few factors. First off, the unit does not provide 55 watts, that's only PEAK power, at best. They don't provide you with the RMS constant output capability which sounds to my ears, like it is in the 12 to 15 Watt range. This unit will definitely need an Amp to drive my four 100-watt Polk DB652s. I have ordered a Boss PV3700 which is on the way. Definitely dissappointed with the head-unit power output. I was hoping for more, but kind of expected what I received for the price. Don't be disillusioned with fantasies of 55-watts RMS per channel from this unit, it won't happen. UPDATE 3 - Using the radio... -First thing I didn't like was the tiny volume knob. -Also when playing a CD, the HOME screen shows CD controls, but they don't work. It's more like a button. Pressing the CD controls "button" then takes you a CD control screen. Cumbersome . - I was trying to figure out how to cycle the FM /AM presets . After trying various things, I discovered the 1/4 rainbow 🌈 button in the lower left. First it wasn't responding for some reason so I gave up on it. Another day I tried again and it worked! - The DVD seems to work fine. I must be confused about the trigger wire labeled BRAKE IN. I thought that was to be wired to the parking brake so that DVDs won't play when parking brake is off. I tried playing DVD with power fed to that wire and power Not fed to that wire and DVD works either way. Later found a setting in the menu that overrides the wiring by default. - This radio takes 9 seconds to boot! My vehicle has an old ignition where you rotate the key backwards to Accessory mode which only gives power the radio . When I was listening to something and arrived somewhere, I would throw the ignition key into Acc mode to continue listening, but the radio wouldn't come on. I thought it was a wiring problem. I finally discovered, it does work! The OEM radio took 0 seconds to boot. So 9 seconds seems like an eternity when you have a break in the music or news you're listening to. During this time the radio gives NO indication whatsoever that it is getting power. I just have to learn to wait for it. - There are all sorts of adjustments to sound in the menus that I will have to figure out over time. But for now it's serviceable as long as I don't turn it up over half volume, where I get too much distortion to make the music listenable. Its been a busy month, so the Amp hasn't gone in yet. 🙄 Haven't tried the backup cam yet. UPDATE 4 - This is my first Amp install, so there's a definite learning curve. The radio includes only 1 sub RCA jack, and only 1 RCA jack for left and right channel . My Boss amp has separate 2 Sub inputs and RCA inputs for Front left & right, and Rear left & right. So, it appears that I will lose the ability to FADE front to back if I use the pre-amp jacks. That's a major FAIL. Fortunately, the Boss 3700 5-channel amp includes high power inputs and adapter plugs for them, so I can use the traditional speaker wires as inputs. This requires TWICE as much effort and wiring as using the RCA inputs. ... show more

I don't care for people in other cars to hear my music. Therefore, I have never cranked it up over 60%. It makes a decent sound. I like the interface because I can see it in bright days. I tried a much better Bose stereo. The sound was superb, but I could not see the interface in bright days. It is very easy to set and operate. I had a problem with the USB input. For some reason, it wasn't playing mp3 files. I contacted their customer service and got extremely good help. After my MP3 files started working, I am very happy with the interface. I had already given this stereo 5 stars. I am still rating it that high. I recommend it. ... show more

    • Not worth the effort
Installed original unit on 1/15, the microphone would not work properly due to a damaged input. The seller replaced the unit. Noticed an issue with my front speakers sounding weak. My rear 5.5 inches were louder than the front 6x9s. Also poor call quality with the Bluetooth. I upgraded my microphone which helped. Also tried different 6x9 speakers. Double and triple checked the wiring connections and everything matches the instructions. Today I did an audio test and the sound output is reversed left to right and also back to front. I am through with this unit. I am not new to wiring electronics and stereo equipment. This unit has cost me way too much time and money trying to make it work. Update: I returned the unit and ordered a different brand unit in the same price range. New unit works and sounds good, nor issues with the speakers or bluetooth. Confirmed that the issue was this brand unit not my wiring. Do not purchase this unit, you are wasting your money. ... show more

I like the way it fit my existing double din adapter. Thats about all I like. Here is my biggest peeve. When using Android Auto the only audio source you can use is the phone connected to the head unit. Yes this has a radio, cd player, usb and micro drive, but they won't do anything if your using Android Auto. Using the bluetooth connection to the phone without a cable is very problamatic, like not being able to answer a phone call. Installation while not a piece of cake went pretty well but as this is performing currently I am most likely going to go to the trouble of returning it an installing something else that will let me navigate with Android Auto, listen to a CD and answer the phone at the same time. ... show more
