I bought this unity to put in my old daily driver minivan. I must say, I am very pleased with it. I would recommend using a wiring harness, if you can find one for your vehicle. I did the wiring myself, but it can be pretty tricky if you can't find reliable wiring diagrams for your existing radio. The android auto has worked flawlessly for me and the Samsung S22 ultra. Spotify (free version) has enhanced my daily driving experience, through my phone and this radio. The radio works very well with excellent reception. The sound quality and power of the system has been more than satisfactory to me. I added an external microphone as the voice quality, for those who I spoke to over the phone, was not always clear. This could have been related to the low mounting of the radio in my minivan and also the road noise and heater noise as that was running most of the time. It worked really well for 2 days then on day 3 it went bonkers and basically died. I contacted seller and while they were very responsive, this was not an issue that their engineer was going to be able to resolve via email. Ended up returning it. *update 2023/04/03* ;tldr no regrets, but there are caveats. I've now installed the second one (1st in a 2004 Honda Civic, 2nd in a 07 Grand Caravan). Both work well enough. But here is some info and things I've found: Build quality is a bit spotty: The one in the Civic is unstable using wireless. It works and it doesn't, seemingly at random. It will disconnect almost always when I drive on a certain street. Feels like radio interference. Wired in, it works just fine. The one in the Caravan works very well wirelessly and wired. However, the front USB port has a short. You plug anything in there and it reboots the device and will not charge or connect anything plugged in. Luckily, these units have a port in the front and one in the back, so it gives you a little flexibility. I'm powering a dashcam from the back port of Honda unit while also connected/charging from the front port. Other things to note: mic quality is terrible- or the chip on the unit that handles hands free audio. I tested using the mic that came with the unit, a mic I had before from a previous stereo, and a 3rd mic I purchased separately. The caller on the other side of hands-free calls has a really hard time hearing me. The other thing is that there are no fader/balance controls on this device. It's not a dealbreaker for me, but it's such a trivial oversight. Really puzzling. I think a lot of these issues could be solved via software, but I have yet to find any firmware updates or an official site offering anything. You get what you pay for, and I mean that sincerely. For the price, this is kind of what I expected- actually, I expected worse. I do wish I would have purchased the version with the volume knob as well. Mainly for wireless Android Auto. Install was pretty straightforward. My only gripe is that my phone, or it could be the deck, will disconnect seemingly randomly. I've found a accsesing the Bluetooth pair screen and tapping the disconnect/connect button will re-connect the devices. Getting Android Auto paired correctly was also kind of a pain. Had to unpair everything, uninstall updates from the Android Auto app on my phone and start over a few times. However- this price point is what makes it worthwhile. The camera works pretty well and not having to grab my phone out of my pocket and mount it every time I get in the car is pretty awesome. Connecting to android auto via bluetooth was difficult. Had to factory reset multiple times before a successful connection could be made. It autoconnects when I start the car, which is awesome. It looks good too. For some reason I cannot get the left audio channel to work. Front left and rear left will not work. Right side is perfectly fine. I've tested both speakers and wires, but cannot get this unit to play on the left. (My previous unit worked(works) well on all 4 speakers) ... show more

This model has some good points but UI is so broken it's essentially unusable. This one one of the few units that would actually fit in my dash kit (Gen 3 Explorer). Most of the Chinese units are too big for standard double DIN. Standby current sips power at only 3.5mA. Anything below 5mA is a pass. Sound is OK. For the non-audiophile it's presets are probably good enough. My car also has a factory subwoofer, while lacking a dedicated SUB port, connecting to the L/R RCA on the back worked fine. Unable to change the power level but output seemed balanced as is. What ultimately kills this unit though is the UI. They neglected to add a mode button directly for the AA/CP function. For wireless, if you change sources the only way to reconnect is to pull over and restart the car. Will connect automatically is previously connected phone is in range. For wired the connection is even less stable. Keep getting "INVALID" error via USB. Again, only way to get it functioning again is restart the car. As for microphone quality voice is completely garbled making hands-free BT useless. This head unit is essentially broken out of the box. Don't bother. Already tested 4 other (Chinesium) units available here, all of which having significant flaws. I'm not picky either, they are just all faulty. Save yourself the frustration and pay a bit more for DUAL or Soundstream. Even for something to put in a beater this level of jank is intolerable. ... show more

For the price this can’t really be beat, I’m really happy with this head unit. It automatically connects the car play to my phone when I turn the truck on. Works fine, good features. I’ve had a couple of bugs with it in the past year I’ve had it but nothing too bad. This radio is a no brainer compared to other brands that cost so much more ... show more
