I'm getting ready to sell my car and I wanted to take my current setup out of my car and replace it with something not so expensive. It basically had everything I needed to except I had to remove my amp and sub so there was a bit of confusion on my part. Also my current setup has a cd/DVD player and this one didn't so again, some confusion on my part. I decided to leave the existing backup camera and microphone instead of using the ones that came in this setup. Just to try and make things easier for the install. The steering wheel controls were the best part, I'd say. Because my current setup didn't have this feature. So this was nice. I'm sure anyone who becomes the next owner of this car, a 2008 Dodge Caliber, will appreciate this aftermarket setup. ... show more

I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 because the directions are awful which I think made the installation process more difficult than it needed to be. I actually ordered this to replace my after market Pioneer system which cost about 10xs as much, but it a magnet for thieves. I actually really like this radio, and it does everything I need it to do. I haven't installed the backup camera because I've not figured out how to do it under the bed of my truck and still protect the wires. It does work though. I had to put the hands free/remote on the upper section of my steering wheel so that the wheel wasn't blocking the remote signal, but other than that it works just fine. The screen is easy to read, the pre-installed microphone was all I needed for easy hands free talking, and the touch has minimal lag. I did have to rewire this to fit the connections for my truck, but I eventually figured that out, ran to Walmart to pick up crimp connectors, and then I was good to go. I already have very good speakers, so it sounds great. It looks good, fit my existing dash opening, and is absolutely a great value considering how nice it is compared to the price. *This was my 1st time installing my own stereo so I may have made it harder than it had to be. It’s smaller than I thought and it doesn’t come with all the pieces you need to install it. Haven’t put it in yet but I’m sure it will work fine.

This was a perfect radio to add to my older vehicle to give it a modern feel. Since most all cars now have the touch screens in them and I have gotten used to this and the many different things that you can do with them, when I saw this product, I knew I wanted it for my 1999 model car. I had to get creative with the installation of this, but once complete it looks great! It comes with a backup camera which I didn't have on this older model car, and now I do! I now have a large screen for GPS navigation when the unit is synced to my phone, and I can use my favorite playlists and streaming apps with this stereo. It comes with everything that you need to install the wiring and even comes with a wireless remote to connect to your steering wheel. Great product and I am very happy with it! ... show more

I recently reviewed the single DIN version, this one is a little better. First, installation was a breeze. All connectors from the previous radio were the same, so I only had to unplug the old one and plug this one in. It works well, in the beginning I couldn't see the screen well during the day, it wasn't bright and the glare was bad. Since then I found the brightness setting and turned it all the way up, all good now. I like that it has a physical "skip" button. I don't have to look for it on the screen while im driving, and sometimes touch screen buttons need to be pressed more than once, which is annoying. The bad thing though, the button is very close to the volume control knob, and it's kinda awkward to press it. The instruction booklet doesn't explain everything. The radio face plate changes colors every few seconds, and I haven't been able to find a setting for it yet. The interactive touch screen portion is pretty much the entire face of the radio, unlike some other radios, where it's about 40%. The remote control is absolutely useless. It's designed to mount on the inside of the steering wheel, on the right side. The mount it comes with is just a piece of elastic band with velcro on it, doesnt stay in one place no matter how tight you wrap it. Also, the IR emitter is blocked by the steering wheel, so i'm not sure why it's even included, it's garbage. And the instructions show a different remote. I was pretty excited about the phone screen, mirroring feature, I didn't realize it has to connected to the radio with a wire, not great-but it works. I haven't wired the backup camera yet, will do that once it warms up outside. Overall, it's a decent radio for the money. ... show more
