Is you sleep hot all year absolutely do not buy this. If you live in a place that gets cold this will help you stay warm. It arrives as a heavy brick but after you open it it inflates to super thick and cozy. I’ll only be able to use this in winter but when it’s cold I’ll love it.

I purchased 2 of these mattress toppers. One for a queen size extra firm mattress which was just too firm and needed a little more softness to lay on. The topper fit perfectly on the 18 inch mattress but it is not as thick and bouncy as I was expecting. While it did add a little more softness to the mattress, it did not provide the extra support I was expecting. It's more of a mattress cover than an actual pillow top mattress pad. I'll add a 2 to 3 inch queen size foam pad underneath and see if that improves the bounciness I was expecting. The other mattress topper was used on my other queen size bed as more of mattress cover.
