These are great collars and work perfect for two dogs. I will first explain why I don't like all the other collars I have purchased, and then why I love the Dogtra ARC so much. First with the negatives of other collars. I have been through a many cheaper collars over the last few years. My dogs play hard and wear them a lot in all weather. Everyone I have bought failed working in a few months. The other collars are not easy to use on two dogs. When you must go through menus to select which dog you want to control, it’s not proper for training. I found myself either correcting the wrong dog or correcting them too late. None of the other models I used worked well for two dogs. The range on other models is week. Some say 750 - 1000 yards but I never saw it. I would have issues with range at just a few hundred yards. Finally, the other collars I only used for sound and vibrate because I didn't trust the shock. I always shock myself to test the strength before correcting the dogs. The cheaper collars seem to feel like electrocution verses a simulation. The dogs did not react well to it. Maybe the power is cleaner on the Dogtra. On to the Dogtra and why I love it. Basically, the opposite of everything I said above about inferior products. First and foremost, these work amazingly for two dogs. If you have two dogs just buy this set and forget about it. The fact that both dogs have separate buttons for the vibrate and shock is so smart. There are no menus to go through or forgetting what dog is currently selected. You can correct either dog with vibrate or shock instantly. Every manufacturer should copy this design. I have not had these long enough to judge how they will hold up, but just based on the design and build I have no doubt these will last few years. The quality is above anything else I have seen. The ergonomics and shape are the best as well. Even on my 26 and 28 pound corgis they fit great and blend into their necks. What a great design! The range on these it outstanding. They easily work to .75 miles or beyond. Finally, on to the stimulation or shock. I used it on myself for testing and the shock has a different feel from all the other collars out there. Both my dogs respond to only the #10 setting which is very low. I honestly can barely feel it. It seems to be a clean power the dogs respond to without frightening them. We have an Australian Cattle dog pup who became dog aggressive. I purchased this collar to assist in training him to calm down when we walk. This has been a very effective tool and now if I just show him the remote, he walks past other dogs and behaves perfectly! The directions were very easy to follow and I bought the bungee collar to go with as it is easier to get on/off our dog. It has the 'nick' feature which just gives them a quick burst and not a long one. I love that. (And, I tried this out on my hand before ever using it on my dog.) The collar battery seems to die quicker than the remote so just keep an eye on that. The unit is fully charged within 2 hours. After purchasing another brand and being disappointed, I got this one and it has been going strong for several months now! ... show more

It arrived sooner than stated. Everything has worked perfectly so far. My pup is already starting to understand the communication with the collar with only two days of use. I added a replacement bungee collar and have been very happy with fitment and contact. *two stars bc of battery issues explained below.. would 100% purchase again, unless I found a brand that offered something better* Product paired with proper training delivers incredible results! My only complaint is the battery life and display. There’s no way to tell how much of a charge the battery on the collar piece actually has, and it has to be charged daily. The remote displays a full charge until it dies suddenly, so you can’t tell if it’s broken or if the battery is dead until you plug it in. I have a husky and her fur prevents the included contacts from touching her skin. I ordered the 3/4” and 1” contacts, separately, and highly recommend the longer ones for fluffier pups. *when purchasing these, be sure to read the fine print! They’re often sold individually and that sucks to receive when you’re expecting two!* The included 1” collar (that the device comes attached to) is very long and will likely require a trim, we cut 5” off of ours, but I hate the unfinished look. I have my own collars I’d switch it to, but the openings in the loops that hold it in place too narrow and skinny for buckles to pass through. I do like how the charger comes with a splitter to charge the remote and the device at the same time, it’s convenient and reduces the use of wall plugs. Overall great item with plenty of room for improvement. Suggestions: *I know, I know. I’m a spoiled baby.* •Bluetooth accessibility & app for monitoring battery life. •car/mobile charger •other collar options with initial purchase vs. the same standard collar offered •maybe a keychain w/ a carabiner vs. the elastic band button.. button is inconvenient as a bracelet & in the way in your palm during training. •personalization options! •options for contact sizes at initial purchase ... show more
