I have a 15-15.5" neck sized dog (fluff included, 14-14.5" tight) that's about 40lb's and this thing looks absolutely huge on her! So while I guess the medium fits, I would actually say all the sizes are one too large. I don't see many medium sized dogs looking good in this thing. WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER! Our dogs are collar destroyers. They have figured out how to unhook the buckles and then there is a tug of war free for all. (See photo of one working to remove the other’s collar) This collar has made it 4 days and counting. That’s quite good. We went through 3 collars last week 😳. This one is far more durable than any of the others that we have tried, and it’s also adorable on Smalls. We love the patches that came with it. The handle is a great help as we train him (he’s just a few months old). The nylon is thick and the metal buckle is too complicated and durable for the dogs to open. This collar is great. The Velcro allows for adjustments at different points for a perfect fit. I can see our pit growing into this one for a while. The added patches is a nice novelty, but you can add any patch that adheres via Velcro.
