*This is REAL LEATHER and passes the char test. smells like burning leather and does not melt. I used the piece I trimmed off to test this. I wasn't sure until I did this since there is no grain visible. *The leash D-ring is a solid connection point. I'll have no fear of my dog pulling free. the ends
are brazed together to make it a solid loop. *The flap (loose) end retaining loop is also solid which surprised me as there is no need for strength in that part. *All the hardware is actual brass, not a painted silver metal. At first I thought it was just painted to look like brass but scraping through revealed that it is real solid brass with a clear coat. *Once you trim the collar to size, there is no need for the extra leather loop meant to keep the free end in check. I chose to attach my boys rabies tag to that. *The stitching is purely decorative. being real leather it is a single layer that will not separate. *Order it large, you can safely trim it to size. if you need to drill new holes a 3/16 bit is a perfect match. I am wishing that I had ordered the leash now :( I would love to try some more of their products. It is nice to see quality like this at a decent price.

It has been almost 6 months and it still looks good! I have tried so many dog collars but they all fall apart because they get rusted or they get so filthy that they give him a rash. In short I’m constantly spending money on a dog tag every month and a collar every three. He gets out so it’s very imp
actful that he has a collar with his information on him. So this has been a blessing. Since it’s leather it doesn’t mud and water roll off and it dries quickly. He loves it and looks lovely. The only thing i didn’t like was that it was too long ( should have gotten a smaller size) since it was all leather it was simple to make more holes and cut it to size. I tried leaving the excess but it won’t stay in the loop so i took a knife it cut it off. I got another for my large dog. Highly recommend them!

All and all it’s okay. The gold name tag scratched within a day or so of having it. Easy to wash! My dog doesn’t seem to be bothered by it.

Quality is amazing, good fit. My dogs tend to lose anything that dangles from their collars, so the name plates are a great touch! Very pleased with this product, and my dogs seem to be too!
