The media could not be loaded. I do a lot of work on 3D prints and I like to have self-healing mats under my work areas. They help with cleanup and also can survive some of the knife-hits from cutting pieces of plastic off. I got this green one from DIYSelf. It's double-sided with inches on one side and centimeter markings on the other. There are some angles and circles that could be useful for those doing sewing projects. It's about 1/4 inch short on each side of the advertised 12x18 inch dimensions. It does work in the self-healing regard. It's a good thickness and still able to be curled up a little bit. I'm content with this. I don't like the dimensions coming up short. So, that's where the lost star goes. Otherwise, this is great. ... show more

This is an impressively large cutting mat for the price, and it has both inches and centimeter grids on either side, which makes it very useful for hobbyists. However, I wouldn't call it self-healing. I used it to cut some cardboard down to size, and the grooves were immediately apparent after the first piece, much less after piece eight. Still, it's a good cutting surface and durable, so it will protect your surfaces, and for the price, that's really all I expected from it. ... show more
