Features

  • The Discoveryopt 5-25x56 First Focal Plane (MRAD) riflescope is built for long-range and competition with a competent 5-25x magnification. It is built into a 34mm tube for a massive amount of turret travel (36 MRAD maximum elevation adjustments)
  • The Japanese ED-grade glass and full-system high-light transmission lens ensure that these rifle scopes have excellent optical performance. It provides you with high brightness and ultimate clarity even in low-light conditions such as dusk and dawn
  • The Zero Stop System offers an easy-to-set, fast, and reliable return to zero. Side parallax adjustment allows quick and easy parallax adjustments from 25 yards to infinity
  • The Christmas Tree reticle offers quick visual references for holdover and windage corrections, allowing shooters to estimate bullet drop and wind drift without turret adjustments
  • The one-piece tube constructed from aircraft-grade aluminum ensures strength and great anti-shock performance. The scope is nitrogen purged and o-ring sealed, providing water and fog proof in all conditions

  • Great glass, great turrets, good reticle. Unbelievable value.
Style: ED GEN-II 5-25x56mm
I haven't range tested this scope yet, but I am very happy thus far. I only have two minor complaints. The rings are too tall by 10mm and the included ocular flip up cover prevents adjusting the ocular correction while mounted (that can be remedied by removing it or just using the rubber cap they graciously included) I don't have any high end scopes to compare the quality of the image with, but mine is tack sharp at all magnifications. I haven't noticed any chromatic abberation etc. The turrets are so good that I am shocked by them. They are comically huge, but they are outstanding. Paralax adjustment is stiff as is the magnification adjustment but they work well otherwise and the throw lever helps. I like the reticle a lot and it illuminates enough to be useful when needed. No complaints. This is a huge optic. It looks like it was made for a giant shouldering a crew served weapon rather than something to be mounted on a rifle that a mere mortal can use. Not only can a mortal use it, a mortal can actually afford it too. It is almost as big as the rifle I mounted it on with the scope shade mounted. I am going to seek out some 34mm rings that aren't too tall and report back after range day. ... show more

  • Very good scope for the money
Style: ED GEN-II 5-25x56mm
The eye box is better on this scope, clarity is very good, turrets track very good and clicks are very strong and audible. I can see .22 holes at over 300 yards

  • Good scope at this price point!
Style: ED GEN-II 5-25x56mm
Be aware, this scope is HUGE! If You are benchrest shooting it's no big deal!

  • Don't question yourself , buy it .
Style: ED GEN-II 5-25x56mm
5-25x56 ED SFIR excellent glass , no fish eye or chromatic aboration . Tracks excellent, zero stop is easily set . Audible and tactile turrets . It's a no-brainer . You would really have to be a scope snob not to like this scope. After seeing the quality I purchased a second 3 weeks later . If you like shooting long range and don't want to drop a grand or three , this is I believe a viable option to the high priced market of long range optics . ... show more

  • Great budget optic
Style: ED GEN-II 5-25x56mm
I put this on my CZ 457 .22LR, so I can't testify to its ability to hold zero under recoil, but its vast elevation adjustment and Japanese glass are what attracted me. I'm really happy with it for long-range rimfire.

  • Is it better than the Arken EP 5-25?
Style: ED GEN-II 5-25x56mm
I have this and the Arken EP 5-15. Both are great budget scopes. But I think the Discovery has a clearer glass than the Arken. Would I buy this again over the Arken? Absolutely!

  • Can’t beat the price!
Style: ED GEN-II 5-25x56mm
So far so good. I actually got this scope on Black Friday for 250$. I was eyeing the Arkens and ended up getting one but I wanted to give this scope a try. I saw a tone of great reviews. So far it’s been a great scope. Turrets are loud and tactile, glass quality is up there with some of my higher end scopes and it tracks well. I like this reticle more than the Arkens. I’ve already taken this out to about 1200 yards with my 308 and it’s been good. Time will tell. Discovery Optics got back to me over Facebook and confirmed they have a lifetime warranty. I wanted something I could throw on my extra long range rifles or even my .22s. So far the only downside is the turret size. It’s a love hate thing as I love big turrets, these are ones to get used to, the scope itself is massive so it definetly turns heads at the range. ... show more
