This is really good! It looks GOOD in the can. I peeled back the lid, and I was presented with slices of carrots that I could identify. Cubes of potatoes, and chunks of meat. Not soupy, not too much gravy. This is flippin' delightful. I ate a spoonful at room temp and it was pretty fabulous. Then I h
eated up rest in microwave. Also very good. It doesnt have that canned taste or texture. Some stuff just tastes kinda weird or feels weird, but this tastes good and there is a good mouthfeel. I didnt add anything to it. I think next time I may have some toast with it. There is a "recipe" on the can for Shepards Pie. Basically use this as a base, then top with mashed potatoes. I dont eat a lot of canned foods like this, but I keep quite a bit in my pantry for ultra convenience, for emergencies.. just to have shelf stable food. Ya never know. Yet, I find this to be so good that I will put this into rotation. Good sized can fills my big belly. I'll add some pics. I saw a pic from a few years ago where it looked soupy. This is not at all.

Quickly fills an empty stomach when needed

I can't say this stew is gourmet, and it is not close to homemade in taste and consistency. It's adequate and tastes OK. If you need to fill an empty stomach with a warm meal quickly, this will achieve that mission. It's done that for me over decades.

I always loved it and found this on here and decided to try it after a long time, and it's just as good as it was back then. It taste
