  • Worked great, UNTIL IT DIDN'T, after the 30 day return policy
Color: White
The media could not be loaded. Very nice product, at a fair price, while it worked. But one would expect that even cheap Chinese junk to last for quite a bit longer than just past the 30 day return policy. I tried to contact the seller, no response, I'd like to say that I was ghosted, but never heard a word; one can't really be ghosted if you never even get the first response. No indication of any warranty or return policy outside the standard Amazon 30 day policy. As shown in the video, the platter spins at a super high speed (speed is selected as 33 1/3, 45, or 78 rpm) All speed positions spin at out of control fast speeds. ... show more

  • Works well for what it is, but it has quirks...
Color: White
Overall, it isn't bad, but a bit quirky. The biggest quirk I've found is pressing the record button to start/stop recording. DO NOT press and hold the button, your input will be ignored. Press and release it. I complain all the time about poorly written software with tons of latency that results in short presses being ignored, and having to press for a long time to get the button to register. This is the opposite, I'm not sure how one writes code like that... Its rather annoying to have to press the record button to STOP recording at the end of the record. The turntable has the smarts to turn off at the end of the record, why isn't that signal routed into the microprocessor so it can auto-stop the recording? The biggest flaw I see in the product is an apparent 60HZ hum the recorded audio. What with a switch mode power supply running the thing, I don't know how mains hum can even get into the system, but there it is. I even tried the "old skool" trick of reversing the mains plug - no difference was noted (as I figured). I do not know if the hum is present in the line level outputs, I cannot discern it in the built-in speakers. As others have noted, it isn't particularly loud - but its fine for a quiet room. The whole thing works on 5 watts, so I'm going to guess that there's probably 1 watt per channel getting to the speakers (if that). I didn't have any problems with the belt, it was good to go out of the box. ... show more

  • Sound quality better than expected
My expectations were very low considering how inexpensive this is, but so far im very pleased. I had a different brand of portbable record player previous and the built in speakers were poor in quality so i HAD to use an external speaker, not to mention this other BIG NAME brand broke on me within 6 months. The sound quality of this units speakers is pretty awesome, definitely gets loud enough for a living room. The design of it is very cool, I got the one with circles on it. Hard to say how long it will last, ive only had it a few months but so far so good. The case of the unit seems to be built well, the needle, level and turntable is about the same quality i expected for this price point but it does the job. I use it often. Id purchase this brand over the Crosley I owned previous. ... show more

  • bad sound
Color: BLUE
I was told this record player sounds pretty bad. I bought it for a neighbor and she gave it back to me so then I had to sell it since it was outside the return window. The girl I sold it to said the sound quality was bad. So don't buy this. I bought it for 50 bucks. waste of money. It looks cute though. It also doesnt have bluetooth either which people are looking for now. ... show more
