It is super easy to program, super easy to read, the blue light nicely illuminates the time and it's loud enough to wake me. I also like the snooze feature and the way the clock folds into its stand. This is a great alarm at the price point. I bought it especially because of the simple and intuitive controls, the protective "flap", and the on/off switch to keep the light button from being pressed and draining power while in transit. (Note that when switched off, the time and alarm settings are not affected.) The alarm is loud enough in my opinion. I would have paid a few more dollars for stronger materials - the plastic flap that becomes the base when in use is fairly thin and the small hinges appear to be vulnerable to breaking. My husband and I cruise frequently. I like having a clock rather than use my phone. Most cruise cabins don't have clocks. It is the perfect size for a small cruise cabin.     • The Best Bedside and Travel Alarm Ever

There is not much to dislike about this travel/bedside alarm clock. It is simple and straightforward in function with large numbers easy to read, uncomplicated to operate, an alarm that never fails to awaken, and one particular quality that deserves special mention. Over the years, I have had several travel alarms, most of them OK even if nothing to rave about, but this one does something that no other clock ever did: It does not "drift" from the set time to any appreciable degree. I have set this exactly twice in the 14 months I've owned it: first, when it arrived, and second, when I managed to mis-set it by mistake about eight months ago. I set it both times by my "atomic" wristwatch, which keeps exact time because of its control by a radio signal from Ft. Collins, Colorado, that keeps it within milliseconds of the correct time. I just now compared my watch with this clock. The watch of course counts seconds and the clock doesn't, but the clock changed to the next minute only seconds after the watch, and this after having been set in exact sync with the watch eight months ago and not adjusted since. However well it worked otherwise, every other travel alarm clock I've ever had required a time reset at least every few weeks to remain close to the exact time. To get something this accurate would require purchasing a significantly more expensive "atomic" travel alarm clock. ... show more

    • Cheap, flimsy, unreliable (but fast response from customer service)

THE POSITIVES: - The clock is easy to set up. Just pop off the battery cover in the back and insert the two batteries, then follow the instructions provided to set the time. I like the fact that this clock is battery-powered and does not have an electrical cord. - The lid folds over the display, making the clock compact and easy to pack when you're traveling. - When my first clock stopped functioning properly (see "THE NEGATIVES" below for more details), Travelwey shipped me a replacement quickly. THE NEGATIVES: - When I received my first clock, which I purchased in October 2017, I thought it felt cheap and flimsy. Given the low price I wasn't expecting anything fancy -- in fact, I purchased this clock because the description emphasized its simplicity-- but when I held the item in my hands, I had my doubts about how long the clock would last. The construction felt poor. Nonetheless I decided to give the clock a try. My doubts were sadly confirmed in February 2018, when the "LIGHT" button on top of the clock became dislodged. In addition to moving out of place, the light button no longer functioned at all, which meant I could no longer view the display when the room was dark. I was disappointed that a clock that I had owned for less than half a year already had broken parts. To Travelwey's credit, when I wrote to Travelwey about these problems and stated that my clock was under warranty, they promptly mailed me a replacement. Though I appreciate the free replacement, I am not optimistic about the lifespan of the second clock and will likely purchase my next portable alarm clock from another brand. - The colon that separates the hour and the minutes continuously blinks, which makes the time display look incomplete and is occasionally annoying to the user. There does not appear to be a way to freeze the colon. - When I registered both my first and second clocks, I did not receive a confirmation email regarding my warranty. Travelwey should strongly consider issuing confirmation emails with the start date and end date of customers' warranties. OVERALL: My 3-star rating is generous, seeing as I wouldn't recommend this alarm clock to other people. That said, I felt 2 stars was too low given the responsiveness of Travelwey's customer service. If Amazon had an option for half-star reviewers, then I'd give this item 2.5 stars. ... show more

....because I like them so much. Simple. Uncomplicated. Batteries last a long time. Protective cover. Compact size. FYI the top cover on the "snooze" button came off of one of my three. No big deal.
