If I could I would leave 100 stars for these baskets. I have been battling gophers and voles in my garden for years- poison, snap traps, wire etc. and nothing has worked. It is so depressing to go out in the morning and see all your starts pulled down a hole (gophers) or bitten off at the stem (voles). The baskets were easy to install and so far, 10 days later, the plants are all still there. Thank you NG Inc. I'll be ordering more. I hope they last many a season. ... show more

I haven't planted my species tulip bulbs in these yet, but the wire netting looks like it will definitely deter gophers and voles and squirrels from eating the bulbs, so they have a chance to grow and hopefully, bloom!

    • Heavy duty, but flexible and very easy to use.
Huge fan of these. These are a great size for medium to small plants, extremely heavy duty, but easy to open and bend as needed to fit easily into the ground. I ended up ordering more because they were so convenient and easy to use.

    • More vegetables for us to eat and less for the gophers
This are small gopher cages that workd great to keep seedlings safe in the ground. Other years we have lost 12/24 plants to hungry gophers, but this year after using these small cages we only lost one plant and the gopher went over the top of the basket. They were pretty easy to pull up at the end of the season and are ready for this years planting. We bought extra for our other vegetables this year. ... show more

Great quality. Heavy duty baskets. These small sized baskets protect the roots great but did not protect my plants from the desperate gopher in my yard who dug a hole next to the basket and munched the stems of the plant from the top.

    • Prevent vole plant root destruction
Love these wire baskets. I used them to plant annual flowers and they helped all my plants survive vole and mole root destruction. I highly recommend their use if you have a vole problem.

    • Nice - but very small
These are nice and sturdy gopher baskets. However, they are very small. I am returning and buying larger baskets designed for larger plants. They would probably work on 6-pack plants or slightly larger.
