I purchased this pack to accompany me through my college years. During the first year, it worked quite well, providing ample storage for all my items and showing no wear. A little of a year, however, the zipper teeth began to bend and eventually break off, rendering the bag unusable. I liked it so much, however, that I ended up buying a new one. My daughter replaced her backpack of 2 years (which still works fine) with this one. The old one has been through plenty and was well used. This one was only used a few days into the new school year, and the zippers on it were off track and missing teeth the first week of school. The zipper was sticking, and misaligned. Upon inspection I saw that the zipper teeth were falling off. The bag is completely useless now and no warranty as far as I can find. It’s Disappointing that a brand name product like “Dickies” which should be a pretty durable product, fails in the first week of school. ... show more

This bag is very durable and is withstanding my son’s abuse very well. Ours is made of genuine denim. We love anything Dickie’s because their products are so rugged and this book bag did not disappoint.
