My wife and I liked this affordable option for a Fouton because it was affordable. The sitting is low to the ground, not comfortable for long hours of conversation or living room office work. The bed is only comfy for 150lb less people. The metal doesn't look that durable. The mattress is an mvp repurposed occasionally in the back of our SUV for car camping. First, if you read any further reviews after this one, you will probably come across those who may have been mechanically inept to following simple, printed instructions. The assembly of the futon was spot on, everything fit and the screw holes were lined up perfectly. I was able to assemble the futon frame, by myself, in about two-hours. The six-inch mattress is comfortable but not as dark as I had expected but it is comfortable. Overall, it was a satisfying buy and worth another purchase. UPDATE: after some time has passed, I’ve decided to add upon my previous review. The frame is extremely sturdy and probably could withstand an earthquake. The mattress, on the other hand, seems to want to slide off the frame even though there are guards to stop this effort. The mattress, albeit comfortable, gives at these points and constantly need to be readjusted so they won’t leave a “guard impression”. Try flipping it around, front/back, over… no luck. ... show more

I measured the cushion and it was thinner. The cushion is also thinner on one end. I don't know if there is a weight requirement but I'm close to 185lbs and I can feel the rods underneath. It's only been four months and it doesn't lay out flat. It bends in some. That started probably the second month. Sometimes there is difficulty opening and closing the device. Also some of the parts have popped also. I wouldn't recommend this for adults who are trying to save space in a small area. Just get a day bed like I plan on doing..It kind of feels like a waste of money it is giving me the bare minimum of what I need. I contacted the company about the cushion issues and I'm the end contact on their end became unorganized and unhelpful. They said it was cosmetic but my new cushion shouldn't feel like a used uni cushion. And it's not that quiet. You can hear it . ... show more

Mattress is thinner than advertised and very uncomfortable. When turning back to the seated position the whole futon lifts and makes it difficult. Assembly was pretty easy with easy to follow the directions, even with a 2 year old attempting to “help”

I ordered this sofa bed for my teenager son who is 511 and over 200 pounds this sofa bed is very comfortable. He prefers to lay on it rather than his own bed so five stars for me. Great day to buy for extra company coming over to the house or decorate a room.

Well you falsely advertises the thickness of the mattress. Clearly states in description that it is supposed to be 6 inches it is not. I will be putting in complaints and contacting the company for a compensation on a proper futon mattress. It is also already sagging in the middle where I was sitting to the point I can feel the bars. This is completely unacceptable. I have had this less than a week ... show more

The tools this product comes with are very much not made for this job! I strongly suggest using a closed in wrench for tightening the bolts, the open end that it comes with is wayyy to weak and deformed after a couple bolts. once i swapped the job became alot easier. As for the quality, its decent for the price. Its comfortable and while i'll probably get another padding to add on top of the mattress it comes with, overall not bad for comfort just an absolute pain to put together! ... show more
