The app or the Amazon.com misrepresented the price, the sending, and just about everything else. But I love the true spirtle -- I ordered five of them for my best friends and confidants! The price ranged between $5.28 and 19.74, on the same day at the same site! -- I thought I had bought them at 5.38 with no shipping to the US -- but it turned out to be something else , and then it cost me a fortune to bring them over to Canada because they originated in the UK -- I used to think we were good friends with the UK, and spirtles are acknolwdeged here in Canada as among the best stir sticks possible for porridge, cream of wheat, and just about anything else that brew in a pot. I ended up paying a King's ransom to get these through customs -- they cost me at least five times the amount listed in the Amazon.com ad. But I am still happy -- I just wish folks in the UK would consider their brothers and sisters in the Commonwealth (especially Canada) alongside the rebels in the USA! ... show more

    • Beech wood spurtle or wizard wand?
This was on our adult daughter's wish list so we bought it for her. I can't imagine making porridge or oatmeal with it but she was delighted we got it for her. It's well made and a lovely, attractive wooden piece. There was much discussion about it possibly being a great prop or toy for a Harry Potter wizard costume. It does look like it could be a wizard wand especially if you stained it with a dark wood stain. Glad we got it. Thanks for making this unusual item. ... show more

    • Sticker stuck right on the bare wood
I didn't love the fact that there's a big inch long sticker stuck on the bare wood! (In addition to the one stuck on the outside of the bubble wrap) It won't come completely off & I don't look forward to using "goo gone" or some other chemical on a kitchen food utensil before I can give them as gifts. Hopefully the cleaner won't stain the wood! 😢 ... show more

Works just like I was told it would. I was introduced to this item from a very wise woman and she was right! Really helps bring whatever it is you are mixing together - together :) I do recommend it to others. I would love to find a bit longer of a one for bigger projects some day.
