We decided we should host NYE at our house. I placed the order for the Professional model since it was the only one with 2 day shipping. Party moved up from 8PM to 5PM. Originally my husband said, oh no, not another useless gadget - and now he's addicted! The pods are kind of expensive but worth it. It's so easy that we found we were drinking cocktails much more frequently. Be careful not to drink more alcohol! Our favorite pod is Whiskey Sour and Long Island Tea. Ok … I did a LOT of research before I purchased the Bartesian Professional series. Bought this from Amazon because the Bartesian website was sold out. Contacted Bartesian and they assured me that they partnered with Amazon, and the same warranty exists with the Amazon purchase. That was my first concern! I then toggled between … the regular cocktail maker (which was on sale) or the Professional series that was $200 more because of the sale. Overall, I selected the Professional series. I am glad I did. The bottles hold more capacity, and the water reservoir holds more water. And, to me, the design is much sleeker! Now the overall function? AMAZING! I do not drink at all. But my husband and friends do! It was so easy for me to prepare drinks for them. I have been told that some of the mixes do not taste exactly like a mixologist would make, but it was close enough. I guess it is all personal preference. I ordered a small fortune in capsules from the Bartesian website to have a variety. I also ordered the menu and the shaker (of which I was not that impressed with the shaker). I ordered drawers as well for easy access. I stacked them (and have a third one on the way). I put little rubber door bumpers/feet (ordered from Amazon the Neoera 3/8” cabinet door bumpers) on the feet of the drawers because they were a little slippery, and that held them in place. And I ordered every rimmer that they offered. From Amazon … I ordered from Amazon the Nifty Solutions spinning capsule pod holder to hold excess pods (see the photo inside the cabinet). Lastly I ordered Yesland 500 count cocktail picks 4 3/4” from Amazon and they are stylish and disposable (those are in on the right in the photo with the god balls on top. For garnishes, I ordered small food storage containers with locking lids to keep the items fresh. After reading many of the reviews on line, I was concerned about leaking and damaging countertops. So I put a mat underneath the machine just in case … I needed peace of mind, and no one even knows the difference. This machine was a party hit over the holidays, and my husband can come home and make a mixed drink with ease. I would highly recommend this product for every household. And that comes from a non-drinker, but a expert hostess!! I hope this helps someone, as the reviews that I read certainly helped me! ... show more

I purchased a Bartesian Cocktail Maker as a birthday gift for my wife. The concept and online reviews had piqued my interest, especially since my wife was looking for an easy way to enjoy new cocktails. The initial experience was promising when she opened the gift, and we successfully made one drink. However, the machine stopped working after that first attempt. I suspected it might be a clog or a user error, so I carefully followed the instructions, but the machine refused to cooperate. Instead of returning it immediately, I decided to give it some time, hoping a fresh start might resolve the issue. Unfortunately, this approach didn't work either. I made one final effort to clean the machine, even though it seemed unlikely to be dirty after just one use. Regrettably, the troubleshooting steps provided no solution. When I attempted to contact Bartesian for assistance, their automated system informed me that their lines were busy assisting other customers, and their support hours were limited to 10 AM-4 PM, Monday to Friday. This scheduling seems terribly misaligned with days and times customers would use the Bartesian cocktail maker. It quickly reminded me that Butterball Turkey staffs their offices on Thanksgiving Day to assist customers with questions - about a simple turkey!!! Looking back on this purchase, I found the instructions confusing, particularly the requirement to fill, empty, and clean the canisters that hold the liquor between making different cocktails. While I appreciated the machine's elegant design and thoughtful intention, it ultimately failed to perform as expected. Despite giving it the benefit of the doubt and hoping for Bartesian's support, neither the machine nor their customer service met my expectations. ... show more

My Bartesian Pro is a blast. We've have 2 parties with it and it was a huge hit. However, I'm trying to clean the unit and I can't get any menu options on the screen. The only thing it says is to insert capsule and close lid. I've power cycled it several times and tried every type of touch possible on the menu dial....but the only thing it will say is to insert capsule and close the lid. Hopefully there is a simple user error solution. UPDATE: I was able to figure out that you have to push down and turn to get to the menu for cleaning. Still not the greatest functionality, but I wouldn't return it or not buy it because of this. ... show more
