Great tool. Already used it cutting rebar, removing leftover mortar, removing rust from patio chairs. Really flexible and relatively light weight.

So like all tools, DeWalt employs a good, better, best for their 20V line of tools. This model is definitely on the good level. It is not brushless and it does not have a paddle switch like other DeWalt Angle Grinders. So it is unexciting but very competent. The features I like are the tool-less adjustment for the guard and a fairly quick change cutting wheel. If this were an Impact Driver or a Drill or Orbital Sander it would need to be XR Series and brushless; but for the 6 times a year I use an Angle Grinder this is more than good enough. I like this tool and I recommend it as long you understand that you need to match your anticipated use with level of tool you are buying. I love Dewalt products because they are tough, and this angle grinder is a welcome addition to my collection. It is built extremely well, and you could tell by the weight that it is a solid construction. I love how you can adjust the cutting guard with no tools, and even remove it, and you can even switch blades without a tool if you wish. The paddle switch is easy to use, and even has a two-step process, which prevents an accidental powering on if the tool is bumped. So far I tested it out on 1/2 inch metal rebar which I had to cut 20 times for a project. This angle grinder cut through it like butter with a diamond blade, however, I completely drained a 6 amp hour battery, and most of a 4 amp hour battery in the process. I was lucky because I was at home and had plenty of charged batteries but if you’re on a job site using this tool, be sure to bring many 6 amp hour batteries or above. Also at around $160 I found this tool to be way cheaper on Amazon versus the box home-improvement stores that sell this for around $220. ... show more

We purchased this Dewalt angle grinder to cut thin brick for a fireplace. We purchased from the Dewalt line since we already have many of their battery operated tools, and therefore have the compatible batteries (which are not included with the tool). This helped us execute the job and make clean, precise cuts. It’s very easy to operate and has excellent safety features. This will be a great, versatile tool to add to our repertoire. The only downside is that it eats through our 1.3 Ah 20V max batteries very quickly. Not that big of a downside if you’re okay changing the battery frequently or already have higher Ah batteries on hand. We will be considering buying larger capacity batteries in the future to remedy this. ... show more
