  • Loved it so much, I got two of them!
Size: One Size
I bought one of these for my shop, and used it primarily for listening to music and audio books while I worked. I started taking it all over my property with me for the same reason. Any DeWalt battery will last forever in it, and it's loud enough to be heard over the noise of my other DeWalt tools while I'm working. It's also very rugged. I've dropped it several times and never made a dent in it. When I built a hunting camp halfway up the mountain, I realized my cell phone would go dead in the middle of my hunts and I couldn't check the time at the end of the day to know when it was 30 minutes past sunset. I would also bring a digital recorder to record wildlife, and that battery would die within a few hours. I finally remembered that this DeWalt Bluetooth Radio was also a generator. So, I brought it to my camp and never had to worry about charging my phone and recorder ever again. I've had it up there for over a week now and haven't had to replace the battery in it. Just in case, I simply throw an extra DeWalt battery in my drag bag and bring it with me. Since I don't want to lug the radio back and forth, I decided to buy a second one for my shop. They're well worth the purchase. ... show more

  • So far, its Awesome!
Size: One Size
Bought this off Amazon a few days ago and Im putting it through the paces using it outside and inside, while working on my driveway, Im using a dewalt 20v grinder to cut the cracks so I can seal them up, and when the battery dies on the grinder I am recharging it off the radio while using another battery, it charges the batteries up quick and gives a great charge, Ive plugged in a couple other tools into the radio, and they worked great, I adjusted the +/- eq to the setting I like, and the radio sounds really good outside, makes the time fly while working.I keep my cell in my pocket and adjust the volume up or down while the radio is 10-50 feet away or farther, when I get a phone call, the call goes right to my cell speaker, and not through the radio which I prefer. the radio picks up stations well,no static like from some radios, the bluetooth is a newer version and works great. Using the radio on the inside of my home, I just crank it up in my weight room and sounds better than my boom box Ive had for a few years, it can get pretty loud for a small "boom box" , So far the feel is pretty rugged , buttons are well placed and easy to use, Ive charged my phone while using the radio with the usb port , no issues at all. I like that when I go to the flex volt batteries for my 20 v, and when I start getting 60v tools this radio will not be obsolete. Im happy I picked this one up, Great job DeWalt! Thumbs way up! UPDATE: 06/15/2017 Bought the flexvolt 60v 6ah battery DCB606, and used it in this radio and I got 3 days of playing the radio at medium volume on 1 charge, when it finally died it took exactly 2 hours to charge the same battery with this radio. ... show more

  • Love it!

Such a great addition to a workshop! Like the real "vibe" & it's sound is Great! You'll probably need a battery if you disconnect- but you can use the battery for other similar tools, or an acquired DeWalt light, just using it wherever!

  • DEWALT 20V MAX Bluetooth Radio
Size: One Size
This is the forth Dewalt model radio I have owned. I've used them over the past 24 years on job sites. The previous radios were each a different model. This model has been the best of the four thus far. It has very good sound as long as you don't have the base adjusted too far up in a small room. I like that the bluetooth is built in, connects to my iPhone, and I can control the FF/Rew from the radio. The FM reception is above fair- it pulls in local stations easily, but I don't count on it to receive stations dependably beyond that when inside a building and sitting on the floor. Sometimes it can, and sometimes it can't. I REALLY like the build in receptacles for plugging in another power tool or multiple battery chargers. This is the second version I have had with these built in. The storage tray on the bottom, accessible from the front, is deep enough for my iPhone with a Defender case. Though, it did not come with a cord, so you'll have to buy your own if you want it plugged in and charging while in the cubby. Mine did not come with a bottle opener, which I could care less. Does anyone really need one? I mean, a hard sharp surface, a lighter or pocket knife will do just fine. The cord is heavy duty and wraps around storage hangers on the back. The only thing I'm not sure about is why Dewalt didn't enclose the battery behind a door to keep it dry when it's raining. I'm not concerned about the plastic... it is the battery contacts that should stay dry. So, I took a star off for that. ... show more

  • Terrible
Size: One Size
I read the negative reviews and ignored them. I didn't heed the warnings from the guys I work with about buying this. I hoped it wouldn't happen to me but I ended up having every common problem possible with this. I'd give it 0 stars if I could. It's big and heavy but doesn't sound like it first off. It stopped charging batteries within a few weeks. Now it will actually fully kill batteries if you don't remove them when you aren't using them. So dead they won't charge, or they only charge to 2 bars. The power/volume button is barely functioning. This is a VERY common issue with these. Bluetooth range is poor, my ear buds have considerably more range. This is an old radio with old tech that needs an update. Don't spend $300 on this if you are actually using it on the job site. ... show more
