It features a 3-LED fuel gauge system that allows for immediate feedback on state of charge. This battery offers no memory and virtually no self-discharge for maximum productivity and less downtime. It is perfect for higher demand tools like demo hammers and grinders which need longer runtimes. 1 hour charge time on DCB118 Fast Charger. Backed by DEWALT'S 3 year limited warranty. I own 23 Dewalt tools that use these batteries, mostly purchased as bare tools, and 6 of these 6 ah batteries. That includes outdoor equipment like a chainsaw and blower, saws and multi-function tools, and a variety of hand tools like sanders, drills, impact drivers, and lights. Obviously I don't use them all at the same time, so in my view buying the tools and batteries separately is the best bang for the buck, especially when paired with rapid chargers. I love the interchangeability of the 20V max system and these higher-end batteries last quite a while. For example, it only took two of them to use their 12" chainsaw to down a 30 foot tall tree, trim the branches, and cut the big stuff up into firewood. I'm amazed and impressed that I got all that done on just two batteries. So far none of them have died, no matter how old they are, but the price has been coming down over the last few years and I pick up a new pair whenever they go on sale so I'll never run out. ... show more

I have the 20v blower and wanted extra 6ah(it only came with one) for longer use and use in other tools(circular saw). This was a great buy, almost $50 less than local stores. I got these for my lawn mower -- they seem to work as well as the FlexVolt batteries I've used for years. In fact, I don't know why you would pay more for FlexVolt if you don't need the 120 volt option.

Yes, they weigh more. Beats having to change batteries 3 times. I keep them for my blower which was going through the 4ah way too fast. Great on the circular saw also. Seems to keep the balance better, if you know what I mean.
