It can be mounted to the wall if you like. The suction is great! Emptying the bin is a breeze. I specifically purchased a corded rather than a cordless vacuum because I didn't want to worry about charging yet another device in my house. The suction power yes may be good but after running it for a few minutes it gets very hot and barely picks up anything you have to dump it several times during vacuuming cuz it's just too small.
