After over 5 years of regular use my original heat baffel fell apart. This replacemt is very heavy duty and has a high gloss finish that almost looks like stainless steel. I think it is going to give me many years of service. I always cover it with a new piece of heavy duty foil after every use.

Just received this and it does seem well made. Pretty heavy gauge steel. But a magnet sticks to it really well which makes me wonder what alloy stainless it's made from. I know that some stainless is magnetic but this seems like it's got a lot of iron in it, due to the adhesion that a magnet has. We'll see how well it resists rust. Even if it lasts as long as the OEM, I'll be happy with it. ... show more

Spray with high heat nonstick before using, including the drip pan also put wet paper towels in the drip pan while cooking. I sprinkled water on drip pan and scraped off with non scratch pad anything stuck on flat surface. Easy clean!
