*New update* The communication with this seller has been phenomenal. They proactively reached out and offered support. The resolution was above what I was asking, so A++++ customer service and updated two stars for that alone. If all my customer service interactions went this smoothly, I would be a happy woman. Old review-I brought two units. Both take a while to get the area cool. I have the smaller room 10x xxx and it takes just as long to get cool as the bigger room 12x xxx. Ultimately, you have to keep them on for quite a while to start feeling the difference. Little annoying, but I think I should have brought stronger BTU units. They both have been easy to set up and install. However, one of the units makes a very loud noise when operational. Not sure why one makes weird noise and the other doesn't but who knows. The sound is very loud and annoying though. Never goes away, but does decrease in decibel eventually. Wish that unit was as quiet as the first. I wanted a refund but who wants to go through the hassle of taking it out, having it dry, then sending back. This has made me think twice though about buying larger appliances off of Amazon. This is a terrific 12.000 BTU window a/c, much better than the Friedrich which it has replaced, and which broke before it was even 2 years old! The Della unit cools to a farethewell and is much quieter than most a/c’s made today, certainly it’s much quieter than the Friedrich was. I’ve had this ac for 2 years. First year was great (when it was under warranty of course!) now it’s not under warranty and it doesn’t blow cold air. Doesn’t cool the room down. It doesn’t connect to my phone so the app no longer works. It rattles and shakes, is noisy at night. Not worth it!

3 stars is probably unfair because it’s worth the money we paid for it, but it is super loud.(in my opinion) Straight forward to install, and cools the rooms well enough. Wouldn’t buy it again, but would get another mini split from Della. We have one and it works great but it was around 1000 dollars after the unit and all the random things you have to buy to install it. ... show more
