I'm reviewing YAYA NAILS Dehydrator and Primer. Nail prep is the key to longevity of gel polish, so I never skip this step. These dehydrator and primer set is perfect. The dehydrator has an immediate effect, I can tell by how the natural nails turn white-ish and that is how I know my nails are bone dry. These bottles are surprisingly much larger than most nail care products. The dehydrator seems to work well and pretty quickly. I had issues with the primer. Despite following directions and taking my time, it didn't apply smoothly and looked lumpy. I thought it would be fine once I started adding gel layers, but it did not. I had lumpy looking nails and had to go through all the work of removing the gel polish, which was no quick and easy task. I'm hesitant to try again even though I use removing solution, I know it still strips my nails a little bit with each application/removal. ... show more

As a newcomer to gel nails, I’ve been struggling with polish peeling after just a week. My current process includes the dehydrator, foundation, gel polish, and top coat. I'm not sure what the difference is between the foundation and the primer but I have noticed a difference. My nails have stayed put so far, and they look great. I have had trouble with my natural nails peeling for the last year or so (most likely my hormones) so I have made an effort to keep polish on them to help them stay strong. This set of dehydrator and primer is an excellent add to my nail collection. I used this set before doing my nail dip manicure. It worked very well. I didn't find the smell to be over-powering, just normal nail chemicals. I particularly liked the primer, I got a nice smooth coat before applying my dip base coat. A good value for decent sized products. This kit comes with both a dehydrator and prep. The dehydrator should be used after buffing your nails. Primer helps product bond to your nails and should be applied after the dehydrator. I haven’t experienced any issues with these products after use.
