I liked that it did work really well, However upon emptying it and replacing back in. It went in wrong and I can’t take it out or push back in. I don’t see it off track. Because I won’t be able to empty it I don’t use any more.😞I just bought it

    • Quietly does its job
After researching and reading many reviews, I chose this little dehumidifier to tackle the humidity problem in my unducted sunroom. It does the job pretty well. After a week of running continuously, the water tank is almost full. And I think it is helping both my bedroom and large bathroom, as the sliding door between my bedroom and sunporch is left open. I do have central A/C (a necessity, I think, in Florida), my home has very efficient windows, so the A/C doesn't have to run often to maintain a comfortable temperature. The only negative, which I admit is just a minor thing, is that the colored light doesn't add any benefit to the product. And, as a caution to those who think just clicking the night mode takes care of that, it turns the dehumidifier down, which decreases its efficiency. In my home, which is in humid Florida (and this is midsummer), it means the humidity level goes from 46% when I touch that button before going to bed to 51% in the morning. Since the ideal humidity level for preventing mildew/mold growth is 45% or lower, that difference means there could be those dreaded spoors still living in my sunroom. So, my advice to the manufacturer is to keep their concentration on a good product and leave the light show to others. To prospective buyers, I recommend this little dehumidifier as a good buy.     • poor customer service
stopped working after two months. At manufacturers request i sent them a video and Amazon order number. Despite trying to follow up twice i have never heard from them again. Very disappointing.

    • A tremendous help with mold issues.
Do you have a shower that has a tiny sliding window overhead and find steam from the shower lingering 30 minutes later? My bathroom is one such bathroom with terrible ventilation and the little window never gets any kind of breeze. I have noticed earlier in the year, that mold had been appearing in the bathroom. I tried leaving the shower door open, turn on the exhaust fan, nothing seemed to help. When this dehumidifier arrived, I appreciated the size. It is small and easily manageable. Setup took 2 minutes, if that, and I let it run. I was very surprised that even without a shower, the dehumidifier managed to extract a quarter tank and more post shower. The space can become quite hot, so I assume it is using heating elements and forced air to extract water from the environment. I have noticed there is no new growth. So if the opening described your bathroom, get one. If not this, any one, but I do recommend this model. ... show more

    • not a refrigerant/condenser drier
Ordered this dehumidifier because of the 850-950 sq ft claim. Here's my experience: 1. The dehumidifier is a Peltier type which I was not familiar with until it arrived and I started doing research on it. It works on the basis of a thermoelectric cooler (solid state semiconductor). This type is energy efficient but is well-known for not being capable of handing larger spaces or very humid environments. Relative to a refrigerant/condenser drier, it takes a longer time and is probably best for locations like closets. 2. I used this for 24 hours in a room of about 600 sq ft and with about 60-70% humidity. At the end of the period, there was perhaps half a pint of water in the bucket and the room humidity had not budged. A refrigerant/condenser version placed in the same room over the same period had to be emptied twice of about one gallon of water each time and brought the humidity level to the upper forties. 3. Because I am not interested in dehumidifying a closet, I am no longer using this drier and cannot see using it in the future. In sum, 3 stars for probable use in closets or other small spaces. ... show more
