I have the ability to turn the lights off at night as well as adjust the noise level. So far I only empty it every couples of weeks. I live in the south and it gets very humid so I definitely can feel the difference in my home after purchasing this. FYI, my home is just over 1700 sf with a 2 story great room. Very comfortable now. Well worth the price. Update: I received a postcard from seller offering compensation for a review. I had already reviewed and processed the necessary information to get the compensation. I have yet to receive it and have had no response for follow-up emails. This does not set well with me as it appears they offer reward for a good review but never pay!!!!!! Got this for my apartment which is around 750sqft, well under the advertised performance capability of this dehumidifier. It barely moves any air, even on ‘high’, and I’ve noticed no reduction in humidity in my apartment. While it is removing water from the air, it doesn’t move anywhere near enough air to actually perform at the level advertised. The LED light is simply a gimmick with no actual purpose, other than the ‘tank full’ notification. If you need this for a single room, it may be enough. But not 1100sqft worth. I would’ve returned it if I hadn’t accidentally thrown out the packaging. Update: They offered me a refund because of my negative review. The message I received asked me to let them know if I wanted a refund, and they would take care of it. After doing so, they said sorry, you have to go to our website and submit information for a refund. I won’t be doing that for obvious security reasons, so I guess I’m just out the money. SEE EDIT AT BOTTOM please. Original review... I put this in a room that is 71 rh. It won't take it down even one notch in days. Now I could see if it would go up when I turn it off but it doesn't. I need 55rh and this one said it would take care of a 1000sf room when I purchased. No...it won't take care of 40sf I have a 1/8 inch of water in the bottom after 3 days on Beware this does not work. EDIT: I usually dont like when someone makes a review about a product and they had a broken one. This company reached out and made things right. And you can not ask for more. Getting a bad unit can happen. There is NO reason to give someone a bad review. They offered me a refund or replacement and had I not already purchased another unit I would have taken the replacement. Simply because they would not have offered it if they believed it would not fix my issue. So obviously I got a bad unit. These things get treated pretty badly in shipping so I can not fault them. They have exceptional customer service. Maybe the best I have ever saw. I have yet to receive any refund but they have started the process. THEY started it. Not me. So I have no reason to believe they wont follow up. YOU can trust this company. If you get one that is bad they will make it right. Unfair of me to have written the original review.
