I just received this and used in just once so far, so I will have to come back and update after the full 3 months. I got this mainly because I get facial hair on/under my chin and neck area.... just what we women love, haha, j/k. It's so annoying. I was using Veet/Nair type of cream, once a week, for years when out of the blue I got a skin reaction/burn from using it, and I don't love the idea of putting chemicals on my skin for 10 minutes every single week times x number of years. So I started looking for alternatives. I used one of those Finishing Touches devices, but it didn't really work as well as the cream, and it sort of hurt/pulled. Came across this and thought, if this works, I'll be so happy! I used it for the first time today. I wasn't sure if I should start out on my neck or if it would be more sensitive (I'm a wuss). So I first tried in on a section of my lower leg. I had it on level 1 and the cool function I think was on (how it turned on automatically). On my legs, I really didn't feel a thing. It's so easy! So then I tried a few zaps to my chin/neck (I think I did about 4 or 5). On the neck/chin, I did feel just a bit of intense heat but it's just for a split second and I smelled the burn hair smell (which they mention is normal). So I'm going to wait a day and make sure I have no adverse reactions before I do my legs more (got to be even, lol) and continue with my chin/neck. I'm overall quite impressed. Like some people, I was skeptical about buying a home use laser hair removal system. I did a lot of research and settled on this one, choosing it due to decent reviews--and not just here on Amazon. I was also looking for a quality but economical system that was easy to use and compatible to different skin types. I wasn't looking for a miracle so had low expectations. During the first few weeks of using it, I saw zero hair reduction and was getting frustrated, but stuck with it. The patience paid off because after several more weeks, I started to see gradual reduction and eventually hair not growing back in some areas. The only problem I encountered was the glasses, which broke in the middle--probably because of the folding at that section and frequent use--not sure. If that hadn't happened, I probably would've given this 5 stars because its a good hair removal system and does work. ... show more

We bought this product not really knowing if it would work or not. It’s one time a week for 10 weeks. We are on about week 5. I’m so impressed with the lack of hair growth! It’s absolutely amazing! The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because the automatic sensor is very unreliable and doesn’t deliver a shot every time it should! For those highly sensitive areas, there is still discomfort associated with the laser, I highly recommend some lidocaine topical from Amazon as well. This has been a total game changer! ... show more

I have waited to write a review till I used this Several times! I couldn’t be happier to find one that actually works! Don’t be discouraged after the first time you use it! I will say I used it once a week, and after the third time, there was a major reduction of hair growing back. Remember, that after the hair follicles die, they still need to work their way out. So you will feel stubble, that doesn’t mean it didn’t work! You must be consistent using it! The cool shot is amazing. The auto flash is fast, so it’s quick and easy. I also love the skin rejuvenate light! It’s currently really helping with the hyperpigmentation from old acne spots. Also remember the spots may get darker at first, but then they will fade away about 2 weeks later! For that alone I feel this was worth the buy! The acne light seems to be helping my daughter. I have not used that on myself. I’m happy I made this purchase, I was skeptical at first because I’m a licensed cosmetologist and do medical aesthetics. So I’m very familiar with IPL. I was pleased with the home strength of the product. The box is great, I will always be able to store it neatly. The only drawback I found was I wish the cord on the base was longer. I didn’t have any problem with the cord being loose as other reviewers stated. I also should say that I have pale skin and light brown/dark blond hair. I would recommend this IPL to anyone that fits the criteria for it. I wasn’t offered a special promotion to buy this product. It slows down growth, but as for permanently eliminating hair, it's not happening for me after using it once a week for over 3 months, even though it was supposed to work in 2.
