  • Good product, Shipping could use more care
I was really disappointed in the way the product ships (Amazon) not the vendor. I had to return two ovens due to rough shipping. Both came in damaged and unusable. I was excited for this item to be delivered and I chalked the first damaged one up to things happen, but now the second one is damaged also. Deerfamy sent me on directly and it came double boxes and it came in in great condition. ... show more

  • Fuel
I am not sure what I should be using for fuel. It got hot but did not stay hot long enough to cook my pizza. I had to keep using more pellets. Help.

  • Poor cooking
Where the heat is set it produces more burning than cooking and have to constantly move the pizza around to try to cook it evenly. Does not cook bottom of pizza well and to do so you have to bake the pizza rack at 400 than place dough on and off lace in pizza oven. Worked better with thinner crust. I should have spent the extra 50 to get the other pizza oven where it’s cooking from under. ... show more

  • Good oven quality, peel is subpar, might need better airflow?
The media could not be loaded. What I liked: 1) very sturdy and well built 2) carrying case/cover is nice and works well 3) includes a lot of tools that work well (mostly, see below) 4) thermometer integrated into chimney works well and is really helpful Overall, I like this pellet burning pizza oven, so why the 4 stars? Basically two things which make it not work well unless you have additional tools. 1) The included pizza peel is not good. The handle folds in half but doesn't lock into place, so it can fold during use which is not great. Do yourself a favor and buy a better peel. 2) This was the big one. Getting this oven up to temperature (>700 degrees) is really hard without using a handheld blower to really stoke the flames. I don't know if that's an issue with airflow or what, but I had to use the blower all the time to get the pellets to burn hot enough to actually get to a good temperature to cook a pizza. Here's my advice after using this to cook 10 or so pizzas: - It will take 20-30 minutes to be ready to cook after lighting the pellets. - don't start with too many pellets, it's really only the top ones that are actively producing a flame and the pizza oven works by pulling a flame over where the pizza is cooking (see pictures and videos, it's really cool) - get the oven to 700 F for a few minutes to heat up the pizza stone, otherwise your crust might not cook all the way through. This requires adding fresh pellets and pushing air to get a good flame going - After you've done that, you need to add more pellets, let them ignite, then add the pizza. Cook for 1-2 minutes and turn 180 degrees. Cook 1-2 minutes more and turn 90 degrees, then 1-2 minutes more and turn 180 degrees so that every side of the crust has spent some time at the back of the oven which cooks the fastest. - use a generous amount of cornmeal under your pizzas when making them or you'll have a really hard time getting them on/off the peel. - When adding toppings, if you make it too tall, make sure the stuff on the top doesn't cook the fastest or those toppings will burn before the pizza is ready. Overall, I've really enjoyed this oven, but I rated it 4 stars because it wouldn't work at all without the handheld blower I've used to stoke the fuel to actually get the oven up to temperature. ... show more

  • Incredible. Much more than I expected.
96/100 This oven is a great addition to an outdoor kitchen. Fortunately, I already have a pellet fired smoker, so the pellets for this oven are right on hand. It arrives and is amazingly big. There is some minor assembly required, but the body of the oven is pretty much assembled. The one problem I had was in assembly. The firebox handle attachment wasn’t the best and I suspect that will be the first failure point, but it doesn’t stop the oven from working. It’s been awfully hot, so it hasn’t seen much use, but I suspect as the weather cools, much pizza and flatbread will be baked beside the deck outside. Ultimately, is it worth the price? If you cook and enjoy it, yes! ... show more

  • Not great
My first issue one of the selling points says it heats to 750 degrees in 15 minutes. First the thermostat doesn’t go that high and even if it did it barely got over 300 degrees for cooking. The next problem is the front cover. If you don’t put it in just right it won’t stay in. The next issue is the stone. The oven heated properly 25 minutes before I put the pizza in. The bottom of it never cooked. If the oven only gets 300 degrees the stone will never get hot enough to cook the bottom. Disappointing oven ... show more

  • Portable Countertop Pizza Oven
So, mine came packaged well, no damages. It was really simple to put together, and within ten minutes of unboxing it was ready to go. The oven comes with a pizza stone, heat resistant glove, a scoop, a bench scraper, a pair of tongs, and a pizza peel. Most of these accessories are fine. Not the best ever, but definitely work. I only have further comments on two. The cover did take a lot of fiddling to get on the first time. It just did not want to fit. Once it was on, it’s fine, and it may be easier to put on the next time it gets used, but it was tricky. The pizza peel is probably the worst. It doesn’t lock into place overly well, so if you’re going to use the oven a lot you might want to get another one. It did work, technically, but it wasn’t very easy. I used wood pellets, because that’s what I had. It was a bit tricky to get it up to temperature and KEEP it there, but I’m sure there’s a learning curve to that, and it won’t be so difficult later. I had a similar issue with my charcoal grill, so it’s probably user error and I won’t discount any stars from that. When things were burning correctly, it did seem everything was physically working right. Personally, I’d recommend this pizza oven. It seems to function well, it’s not overly heavy, it’s portable, and it works. ... show more
