These were a little difficult to install. However they came out exactly how i invisioned. As you can see we had a very LARGE L shaped window, not a bay window. I bought two sets of these and just connected them all together to make a LONG straight rod. The difficult part was figuring out what poles could go where. We didn’t use the finials that came with the rod. We had some from another rod that were larger and just connected those to the end. I will say the finials that came with the rod were a tad on the small side, but for the price, i feel like overall it was a good buy, with quality materials. We looked at a similar rod from Kohl’s for our size window, and the pricing was outrageous at $293.99. I bought two of these and still didn’t break the bank. ... show more

Easy to set up and looks nice, but the elbow joints are unfortunately thicker than the rod. Which was inconvenient for us as we wanted to fully collapse the middle curtains in the bends of the window but they won't fit over the elbow joint. Might not be an issue for all, but definitely one to keep in mind when considering this product. ... show more

This rod is a perfect alternative to expensive, custom rod options. It was very easy to install and the corner pieces are easily hidden behind the curtains. It is a simple rod. It isn’t the sturdiest, but it holds medium weight ikea curtains ok. I don’t think it would hold heavy drapery. I will be purchasing a second one for my kitchen. ... show more

I hope my 3 star review won't dissuade someone from buying this product because it will be perfect for some people. Just not for me. My goal was to create a wall of curtains in my living room that can be left open, then closed for watching a movie. These didn't quite do the trick. I will add that had they fit my windows, I would be in love with them. Also, I saw some people complained about the small balls at the ends. I think small is better since the rods aren't meant to be the focal point, the curtains are. 1. I am in an old Victorian so my windows are farther apart than newer windows. I didn't take that extra space into account. My fault. I tried using old rods as extenders, but they just looked stupid. I'm surprised the company doesn't sell rod extenders. 2. These rods are really too flimsy for my longer span needs. (Possibly why they don't offer extenders!) When I added the other rods, they bowed. I couldn't see them holding heavy drapes. PS the rods aren't really flimsy, just not strong enough for the length I need. 3. They come with 5 brackets, as shown in the listing. This means you will see the brackets when the curtains are open, and you can't close the middle window ones. I didn't think of that before purchasing! Update: 4. I finally found a way to make them work. I had a sturdy, straight rod for a different window. I replaced the two end pieces with the other 2 pieces. This rod is now long enough and sturdy enough to work. As I stated, I now love them. I’m still giving them 3 stars though because it took buying another rod to make it work. ... show more

This is why I look into Amazon first. I never knew a rod for a bay window was available. Yet here it is. Wanting to cut the heat of the summer ( there are mini blinds ) and add to the warmth in winter, my search ended here. Having really nice curtains from Bed Bath and to use what I already had ( alterations were necessary ) ) the rod and curtains will greatly compliment the dining area.
