For the price that I paid, I wasn't expecting much at all. In fact, I was expecting to have to return them but when I tested one in my daughter's bedroom, it seemed like it will be ok. Her curtains are lightweight darkening curtains and are currently being held up just fine with clothespins so I am pretty sure these will work fine. I love how easy they are to put up and take down by myself. As far as actual sturdiness, they are a bit flimsy and I wouldn't mess with them when they are up there. ... show more

The rod is easy to install and holds up a thin curtain pretty well, however it isn't very sturdy so it falls down quite often.

They are perfectly fine to install and the tension is strong enough to hold curtains. However, there is a solid black plastic piece in the middle of the rod that is wider than the rest of the rod, and my curtains get caught on them whenever I try to draw them open/close. At this point I've resorted to being able to only partially draw my curtains as it takes too much tugging to get the rings of the curtain over this plastic piece. ... show more

I ordered these to use in a small cabinet to hang a few shirts on and it was simple to get in place and would hold even heavier garments if I had a need. This was a pack of two so I wanted to find a use for the other one and did rather quickly, our water heater is in a small closet with no door and does not look the greatest, in no time I put the second in place with a long curtain and it made the entire room look inviting. This is of very poor quality. The spring loaded mechanism is very ordinary and break if you extend to its maximum length. Also these do not hold up if you fitting on dry wall.
