Description

The Eclipse 5/8" Wrap Around Room Darkening Double Curtain Rod is designed to wrap around your window frame to block light, save energy, and reduce noise while adding a layered look to your window. The black finished steel telescoping rod adjusts from 48 inches to 86 inches in length to fit a variety of window sizes with the front rod projecting 1. 51" from the wall and the back rod projecting 0. 93" from the wall. New and improved stronger metal brackets install quickly and easily while concealing the mounting screws and hardware. Layering curtains gives you more control over how much light to let into your room throughout the day and provides more insulation during colder months. To layer, place decorative curtains on the 5/8" diameter front rod and sheer curtains on the back 5/8" diameter rod. Use in your bedroom or living room to hang light to medium weight curtains. It is ideal for hanging curtains with grommets, back tabs, or pockets, but can also be used with tab tops or clip rings. Pair with Eclipse Light Filtering, Room Darkening, or Black Out curtain panels (sold separately) to maximize light blocking, energy saving, and noise reduction features. This curtain rod is exactly what I was looking for. I like that it has two layers so that I can put a sheer curtain on the inside and a blackout curtain on the outside. It is well-made and sturdy. I would recommend this.

So this is a harder review to write because ultimately I kept the curtain rod but ONLY because I didn’t have time to return it and get a new one in my timeline. So pros- the rod is a nice sleek black look, I love the ease of installation, and I like the easy way they integrate the 2 rods into 1. Very simple unit and seems to be sturdy enough for a simple curtain. Cons- the ends that attach the secondary rod did not come protected in packaging so one end was broken off making it impossible to put up the secondary rod. Also when it’s fully installed it sits very close to the wall so it’s not real easy to open and close the curtains because they kind of have a “smooshed against the wall” look at the top. Nothing I can do about it not being very deep but I took some super glue and attached the broken end off and siliconed around it to help it stay on. So far it has stayed up and I’m hoping it will continue to hold up but we shall see ... show more

Sent 2 of the same wall brackets and tried to call eclipse (the company for a replacement bracket) and no one answers. The voice mail box is full at the company so good luck trying to get help 🙄.
