Manufacturer needs to package better. Rotomolded plastic helm tossed in a box with no padding or wrap which led to scratched or marred finish in several areas (-2 stars). $300 Chair ordered was wrapped in plastic and 1/2 inch foam, why not treat this $400 helm with the same care? At least throw a couple of laters of shrink wrap on it. Also, Threads were not alligned well for door or where the two halves connect together making for difficult assembly, especially bothersome on the door where frequent access may be needed (not worth deducting a star but bears mentioning). Overall the fit and finish (due to scratches) is what I would expect from a $150 item, not a $400 one! Pros: It is an improvement over the 30 year old helm it replaced. Lightweight and durable, don't have to worry about rust or rot. Plenty of room for customization. ... show more
