    • Wahoo... a hammock I can sleep in!
I am writing this review for all you hammock campers who are tired of being bundled up in a hammock that folds around your face. I finally found something that works for me! I saw this hammock on YouTube and decided to give it a try. I have been using an ENO double (after giving up on the single!), but gave up trying to keep the hammock away from my face. Even laying across the hammock it wrapped around me... just too hot for Oklahoma summer camping. I received the DD Frontline XL in two days from the UK, which in itself is pretty darned impressive. It was well packed and in good shape. The hammock was exactly as described on the DD website (except that it was missing one of the tabs to fasten the spreader poles). I contacted DD and they asked me to look inside the bottom layers for the tab... well duh! There it was. Their response was quick, polite, and eager to help. I have used this hammock twice, and I have to say it is a big improvement for my style of sleeping. I use the DD mat between the bottom layers and it and the spreaders keep the sides well away from my face. The hammock is easy to set up and take down, and with the DD snake skin it's a snap. Do I sound like a DD commercial? That's ok with me... because it is a quality product at a good price! I would highly recommend this hammock to my camping and backpacking friends.     • GREAT HAMMOCK FOR MY BACK!
Great hammock for my back!!! i first came across DD Hammocks from watching carlisle195 on UTUBE, and about he praised DD for their product. I had really had begun checking out hammock camping as a lifestyle i wanted to embrace after considering the stress of the world we live in, the fact that i love nature and bushcrafting, and...that my back is shot and I can't grasp the thought pf sleeping on the ground in a tent with the rocks, bugs, snakes, uneven ground, and the hassle of erecting a tent! But, I didn't want to sleep like a banana, or lay crosswise in a hammock either, which brings me back to the DD Frontline XL.....and, after careful research, considering cost, comfort, and ease of putting up and taking down...plus the views of people on UTUBE, I purchased the above hammock. I have slept on my DD Frontline XL for several nights since purchasing it...and i have never slept so well in years! I sleep flat, my back feels great in the morning, I don't have mosquito net in my face, there is tons of room to move around, and I'm not getting bit through the fabric because of the double layer construction, which also helps to hold in my Klymit V sleeping pad! With all that said, i just can't find a better value for $122.00 US! ... show more

Used it in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area for 5 nights(Memorial Day Weekend) along with a 10x10ft rain tarp overhead. I customized it by putting on homemade whoopy slings and tree huggers. I also slipped in a small backpacking sleeping mat in between the bottom layers to keep in the warmth. Domed bug net really makes the hammock feel roomy. I weigh 300lbs and it held me just fine 🙂 ... show more

My family and I own multiple camping hammocks in the $300.00 plus range. This hammock is by far one of my favorites. Roomy, comfortable, double layer , and can be used as a tent. 10/10
