  • Outstanding product
Size: 6.5x8.2 ft Color: Gray pull-out awning
I installed this on my 5th wheel toy hauler. Have used it daily for almost a year. Fit perfectly on my deck wven though it wasn't designed for it. Recently had an issue that was no fault of seller. They went above and beyond to remedy my issue. The awning is simple and durable, don't hesitate to get it. If something happens to it, there very easy to deal with. Buy with confidence, no need to spend top dollar for something that is just as good if not better. ... show more

  • Good, with some reservations
Bought this for our campervan. Overall I am very happy with the awning, it makes camping out in the desert very enjoyable. We went with the 8.2' x 10' which is big, but perfect for having plenty of shade. For the price, it certainly delivers its value. Now, for the obvious, the materials are not great. The aluminum poles are the thinnest things I have ever seen. It would not be hard to snap them in half by hand. I fear leaving it up at night in case a moderate wind blows through the campsite. I think that in the worst case scenario I can buy new poles to reinforce it all. All the fabric parts seem adequate, I have no complaint there. It requires two people to assemble and disassemble. ... show more

  • be careful in the hot sun
I was looking for an awning that I could attach to the side of my camper where I didn't have to have guy lines. While this unit does come with guy lines, you don't need to use them (except in high winds) because the awning is self-supporting. Installation was easy although since my unit is mounted directly to the side of my camper, I modified the brackets it came with. Note that the bolts fit into the channels in the awning frame and they do not slide very easily, so adjusting the position of the awning once it's mounted is difficult. It's a two-person job to get the awning set up. I guess it *could* be set up by one person but I worry about the awning tipping over and one of the poles bending before I can get everything tightened up. I will note that the first time I tried this, I nearly burned my hands off. It's contained in a black vinyl case. In the sun, that case gets very very hot, and that heat transfers to the aluminium frame of the awning. It wasn't possible to touch it without wearing gloves. Luckily I was at home and had gloves to hand, but had I not been, it wouldn't have been very hard to put up. ... show more

  • PERFECT at a great price!
Size: 4.9x6.5 ft Color: Gray pull-out awning
Not a Name brand that we usually see, but for what it is worth, it works and looksl like those name brands out there! I used it on my 2005 4 Runner with OEM rails and just had to get better brakets, but its worth it!!

  • The install took minutes ,didn't even use the brackets that came with
It came out better than what I expected, is solid at the attachment and hopefully staying like that till van is no more operable, I installed straight to my vantech roof racks, I did the hole in to it no to close to the main bean so I can put the nut behind an have space to set the socket or wrench, at the pictures is where I customize the way I did the holes to tie the awning up, did it using the same L shape brackets to mark where the holes need to be and bammmm , set the screws where I tough it was going to be and hook on 1 side first than move the bolts a little and hook the other put the nuts and move to other side for the other nuts and tie up all and it took me less than 30 minutes taking trash to container too lol and opening it up and set back, love it! I can used it when I'm working and is raining and I can use it when I go on my camping trips. ... show more

Install was ok with a bit of common sense. So far I love it. Seems sturdy, Im getting walls for it when it gets cold this year. Maybe a small wood stove?

  • Terrible quality - came ripped + a hole - waste of money
Size: 4.9x6.5 ft Color: Gray pull-out awning
The packaging was terrible, loaded with tape as if it were a returned item or something. I would return this if I hadn't just spent a couple of hours setting this up to install on my roof rack, and I don't want to take the time to take it off, repackage it, and schedule a pick-up or drop it off... I wish Danchel could come to take this off my roof rack and deal with it. The hardware that came isn't compatible with my prinsu roof rack so I had to go to the hardware store to pick up different carriage bolts, which is fine. Installation wasn't too difficult - definitely would've been easier with help, but it was just me, so it took a while to move my things around on the roofrack to fit the L- brackets, plus going to the store. I didn't want to open it up until it was installed because I knew I'd have a hard time putting it back together by myself while it's on the ground, but I wish I did. When I finally had it up, I was stoked to finally open it. But only to be extremely disappointed. - There is a rip at the stitching on one side and a random hole on the other. - It is uneven when pulled out, so one side has longer fabric than the other, so it's not taut. It just looks weird. - The poles came already scratched up (the ones that stand up), I forgot to take pictures, and one is slightly bent. - The fabric quality is laughable - with black stains everywhere. The fabric of an umbrella is stronger than this. I understand this is cheap, but it still should at least work. I got this for camping in case it rains. There's no point in having an awning if there are holes in it 😐 Good thing I don't plan on setting this up every time I camp. I would stay away - I do not recommend it at all. Worst amazon purchase I've had ever. I would spend the extra $50-$200 bucks on a better quality one if you plan to use it regularly. ... show more
