  • Quality finesse reel for under $150 LT 1000
Color: Multi Size: One Size
Spooled with 10# Power Pro Super Slick 8 and paired this reel with a Fenwick Elite Walleye 5' 9" rod and could not be more pleased with the set up. Balance is perfect and light as a feather! With reel mounted rod balances out level at the very tip of the fore grip. Drag is butter slick. Reel feels good in the hand and is quite sturdy for it's size. Intended use will be finesse jigging for saugeye with jigs ranging from 1/8 to 3/4 ounces and from my point of view this set up should handle the job quite well. Would like to add that if you spool up with 10# braid and use 6# mono to start for anti line slip purposes you will only get about 110 yards on the reel. This is fine for what I will be using the reel for but if you require more capacity get the 2000 series. ... show more

  • My favorite spinning reel
Color: Multi Size: One Size
You would be hard pressed to find a better combination of quality and price than this reel. It is exceptionally smooth, light, and strong. Steez smooth, no, but I sold my Steez to buy two more of these. I now have 6 of them, and I won't buy anything else as long as they keep making these. The 2000 is the perfect size for bass fishing. The 1000 is the same size body with a slightly smaller rotor and spool. ... show more

  • Recommend this one
Color: Multi Size: One Size
I use this for my walleye rod. It is super light and smooth. I downsized from the different 2500 reel I previously had to this 1500. Love it.

  • Spend a few more and get the stradic ci4
Color: Multi Size: One Size
Reel is fairly nice, but looks and feels cheap and I do not like the non lack of an audible bail clicker. Reel feels like something is missing for this price range. Stradic ci4 is a nicer reel.

  • Not worth the 150$ price point.
Color: Multi Size: One Size
Great real but not for its price point. This real should be at the most 100$

  • My New Favorite Spinning Reel
Color: Multi Size: One Size
Super smooth and light-weight. I'd definitely buy another one next time I need a reel. Daiwa has always been top quality, and this reel proves that point.

  • Never buy this reel if you even remotely care about having a good time fishing
Color: Multi Size: One Size
I have bought countless fishing reels from all manufacturers throughout the years, including Daiwa, that range from $10 up to $500. This has been the only spinning reel that I have experienced backlash on almost every cast. I have the 1000 size reel which is rated for 160 yards of 6 lb mono or 250 yards of 4 lb mono. The spool, from my experience, can hardly hold 60 yards of 6 lb mono and maybe 90 yards of 4 lb mono without backlash on every cast. I combined this reel on a custom ultra light fishing rod which I gave to my mother for Mother's Day and now she hates the entire combo because of this reel. Never buy this reel if you even remotely care about having a good time fishing. There are so much better ways to spend your money than on this new disaster from Daiwa. ... show more
