I took this out to florida for some land-based shark fishing and worked like a dream. Spooled it up with about 750yds of 150lb braid and was bringing in 5-6 footers with ease. The lever system is so smooth it felt like I was playing a video game unlike the penn senators I used previously. Great reel, hasn't let me down. I was surprised at it's size because this was my first conventional reel. Went to a local store and saw a 30 sized reel and thought it was perfect. This is much larger. Definitely feels better than what the store had. Great reel, big reel, no fish will escape.

This is a great overall reel. I don't like that the drag is not adjustable if the drag is on, but that seems to be a characteristic of all lever reels. But I've had it for a year or so, have murdered large fish, and it's never let me down.
