I've been through a fair number of types of phones in my time. Originally, I purchased a Pixel 8 and decided to return it after reading reviews about the battery. I came to the decision of the OnePlus 12R because it was moderately priced for the expected quality and met all of my immediate needs. The phone is designed well. The storage is sufficient and the memory provides a dynamic flow of app manageability. The phone has unique features which are able to be applied through the settings. One feature I LOVE and have not seen since the Galaxy S5 is the infrared sensor! This scored major points with me as I stay in hotels frequently and sometimes hotel remotes are janky or limited. The ability to use my phone as a TV remote is immensely helpful. Another great feature is the battery life and charging speed . People are accurate in their descriptions as the phone will charge very quickly and the battery life will last a moderate amount of time even when actively using the device. Additionally, the camera is of higher quality and provides quality images and videos as well as provides useful options and setting features in the default camera. I can say with surety that for the price, this phone is well worth the money and may be the best contender on the list in the range . ... show more

My OnePlus 8 was four years old and still working fine, but I am concerned about possible tariffs on Chinese goods, so I bought the 12R and love it. It charges quickly and holds a charge for days. Voice quality is superb. All four cameras work well, are easy to use, and take stunning photos. My last OnePlus was a OnePlus 5 and I loved it. Then I switched to iPhone an SE and 12 Mini. I came back to android and got this one. This phone is super fast, the screen is very nice and the battery can last 2 days of light use. I do food delivery and can get a full day of hard use on it with a bit to spare. I carry my charger with me and it charges up to 100 in 30 minutes! I recommend this phone to anyone who loves android and clean software. I am a student on a budget and this phone surpassed my expectations. My only gripe is the software can (rarely) be a little buggy but that's few and far in between. I plan to have this phone for years. Works great with Visible by Verizon. This phone is amazing! I have GoogleFi service and needed a phone compatible with their service so I purchase this one after reading a few reviews. I have been extremely happy with it! The battery lasts a long time, it boots pretty fast when you restart it and connects immediately. This phone takes amazing photos, everyone (Friends and family) is always asking me to take photos with my phone due to the quality of them. Definitively a great purchase! I really like these phones. This phone is beautiful. This is my second one. My first was a OnePlus One, and they have come a long way. You can't get hardware like this for a better price. I'm glad I came back. Battery seems to go quick, but not as quick as it charges. The Camera works well enough for me. Long-time Galaxy phone user. And they're great, but the OnePlus 12R is better in many ways, especially for the price. The pros: Fast and responsive Super fast 80w charging Great battery life Gorgeous, bright display Premium look and feel Main camera does a great job Fingerprint sensor and face recognition really fast and reliable Offers "edge screen" function Cons: For some, the curved screen (though I happen to like it) There's a Google page to the left of the home screen with no obvious way to disable it if you don't want it there. One easy fix is to use a different launcher. But if you don't want to do that you can go to: Settings --> Apps --> App Mgm't --> select Google App - Disable it. That gets rid of the Google page. Then you can go back and "enable" the Google app again. If the Google page then comes back, as it did on my phone, repeat that process but then go back into Settings, go to "Home Screen and Lock Screen", then select " Lock Home Screen layout". That prevents any changes to the home screen and should get rid of the Google page for good. But that's the only thing about this phone I've disliked. Otherwise, it's a dream, especially considering the price. If you're on the fence about it, just get it! ... show more
