Worked great until the support window expired. Almost as if programmed to do so. Now won't work on battery power and when the "heat" button is pushed, the unit shuts down. Actual splicer still works on house power but cannot use heater.

I'll keep it brief. But, the actual splicer didn't work. I ended up renting one to get through the end of the year push. I actually ended up throwing it away in the end, after me and 3 other fiber guys tried to make use of it. But the unit was garbage. Waste of a $1000.00. DO NOT BUY THIS !!!! Unless you want a box for a good splicer you bought elsewhere. ... show more
