  • D’Addario Soundhole Turner NS Mirco: A Highly Detailed Review ⬇️
Size: Pack 1
The media could not be loaded. 📦📄Product Review Quick Summary: This product lacks in some functionality. This should only be used for somebody prone to light usage, something important, should not depend on this tuner. For the price it is discrete and has decent build quality. I recommend only for certain people, and this certain group of people is so specific that you will have to read more on this review to find out if you’re one of them. I address problems to specific to address in this quick summary. (📲Read more and scroll for Categorically Detailed Product Review) 📦📑Categorically Detailed Product Review: ⭕️I will rate the product 1 through 5 at the beginning of Categorically Detailed Product Review; categories to correlate with the star rating system on Amazon aswell as providing a more thorough and specific individualized category rating. ⭕️The video or photo attachment showcases details discussed more further in the written review below; I advise watching. I may sometimes include time stamps next to key product points that coincide with a video that highlights that point. ⭕️If review has a need to be updated, a date may be at the bottom to address that information. 🎁Packaging 3/5: 3/5 is my most common rating for packaging and most average in general. It is not a bad thing, but it’s also not a great thing meaning that the packaging isn’t a premium unboxing experience, may not be giftable out of the box, or just does the bare minimum of what packaging should do. This explain some details along with a picture of the product which is all it needs to do however, it’s on the cheaper side of packaging. 💪Durability Test and Build Quality 5/5: Durability is great, I have no gripes about that. The plastic does not feel like the cheap flimsy type of plastic. The Daddario logo, although it hasn’t happened to me yet seems like the type of logo/paint that will rub off during time. This thing will most likely not crack or die over a few drops although the battery does not have a cover, through my aggressive shaking and bumping, it’s held its place just fine. Also through normal use I’ve never had a problem with the battery. ⚙️Functionality 2/5: This product meets the bare minimum that a quality item this price should have, and that’s it. The accuracy isn’t amazing and although I haven’t used many tuners, in my research of finding this one, the other tuners around this size didn’t have any better accuracy. Don’t let the small problem in the accuracy deter you from this product, it is most likely ideal for anybody interested in this size tuner. I did have the head stock version of this tuner though, the sound hole tuner is more accurate than the head stock tuner. is that this tuner is prone to coming off. If pressure is applied to the sides of the tuner. I demonstrated it by clipping it on a popsicle stick, this is only a little thinner than my classical guitar top. When I push on the sides of the tuner, the clip that holds it in place also goes to the side and eventually doesn’t have enough of it to cover the surface area on the top of the guitar and falls. This has happened to me much, but it did happen a few times. if the clip had a curve to it to cover more surface area on the guitar, this would’ve been fixed completely, even if it was a little less discreet. Holds pretty well on the guitar surface and won’t come off easily once the modification I addressed is done. In my guitar case which I am a little bit rough on if put down roughly, may cause the clip to come off due to too much force against it. The metal clip that clips to the bottom of the guitar top was not very good. This alone brought this product a whole number down in this rating. This isn’t a reason not to get this tuner, but this is something that should not have to fall on the customer. If there were some more engineering that went into this product modification would not be necessary. Check notes/extra a few scrolls below to get more details on this modification. 🎯Accuracy to Product Display and Company Description 5/5: No gripes. This product is advertised accurately. 🤑Value for Money 3/5: yet another average rating. This product is only what it should do for the price. I think it could be better built but if you want a discrete tuner, this is pretty much one of your only options it does a job well for average consumers, but it’s safe to say if you play every day, maybe for a crowd or you have a prestigious performance at Carnegie Hall this is not the one. 📝Notes/Extra: Near the end of the review I show the side screwdriver, and the screw necessary to take out the clip that clips onto the guitar surface. When I first got this product the clip didn’t have very much tension. To fix that I simply took it off and use my finger to bend it so that when I put it back in it, put more tension on the plastic piece above that it puts its pressure on. Simply bend this piece with your fingers, this piece is thin and even if you want it to be as tight as possible do not use any tools such as pliers, you will snap this. I’ve bent it is hard as I could with my fingers into it left a little red mark and I can no longer push it. Although it doesn’t feel good on your fingers, this is the most tension you should put on it and it clipped perfect after. If you do not do this, it will most likely be loose on the guitar. ... show more

  • 'MICRO' means 'LITTLE'
Size: Pack 1
This D'Addario Micro Soundhole Tuner is exactly as described, a MICRO soundhole tuner. It's very small but it sits in the soundhole without slipping and also recognizes each note quickly. When I first opened the box I thought a piece was missing because there is no cover for the battery, but my real disadvantage is the 'micro' part; I can't read the screen without my glasses and I don't always have my glasses with me when I'm playing or noodling around. The screen on this tuner is only 1 3/4 inch x 5/16 inch (4.44 cm x 0.79 cm). I can see the screen well enough to see which note is pictured I can't see the bars that indicate if the note is flat or sharp. That is not a complaint against the operation of this tuner because it is, after all, a 'micro' tuner, so I expected it to be small and it wouldn't be fair to remove any stars because it is exactly as described. On the plus side it's nearly invisible when in the soundhole and it takes a common battery (CR2032). I can also see how it would be a great fit in a ukulele. Even though this tuner is too micro for me it does what it's supposed to do and it looks like it does it well but I take one star off due to the lack of a battery cover. ... show more

  • Sleek and discreet
Size: Pack 1
Read a bunch of reviews to figure out what tuner I wanted for my new Taylor GS Mini. I looked at the smaller options since my Fender tuner was so big on my electric guitars headstock. This one had me intrigued. The fact that it fit in the sound hole and it didn’t take away from the guitar was awesome. Got worried when I read a review that it has play when installed-but didn’t let it stop me. Out of the box this thing is tiny! It works perfect and is very easy to use. I would recommend this for anyone who doesn’t want to take away from the style of their guitar with a headstock tuner. ... show more

  • Nice Little Tuner
Size: Pack 1
Just received this today. It's just a little difficult to get into the soundhole (though I am sure this may vary by instrument) I installed it on my Seagull S12 Coastline 12 string acoustic. Once installed you kind of have to snake your finger under the strings but it picks up the string vibration quite quickly. Seems to be quite accurate as well. And easily picked up on the fact I tune my guitars down a step to "D". Liked it so much I just ordered the color version for my other 12 string. ... show more

  • Close but no cigar
Size: Pack 1
It’s a great idea, but it doesn’t seem to pick up my E and A strings unless I really pick them hard. (Yamaha AC3R) I also can’t figure out how to use the calibration function or reset it to factory preset. I really like where it sits and how it looks, just those two quibbles.

  • small but easy to see
Size: Pack 1
This is a small tuner but it's bright and since it's in the sound hole of an acoustic guitar, it's easy to see. I did knock it off once and it went into the guitar, which is way better than if it fell on the floor. I'm not going back to the clip-on-the-headstock kind!

  • Won't fit Martin HD28LSV
Size: Pack 1
I really did want this tuner but alas it wouldn't fit or stay in the enlarged sound hole of my Martin HD28LSV. The one spot that I thought it would work still hit the bracing. I have other D"Addario tuners that are great and looked forward to getting this one. Thanks for letting me return it.
