    • Decent sleep pad for the money, strong smell

Decent quality sleeping pad, two different layers of foam and a nice cover as advertised. Came with a large storage case with carrying straps in addition to the straps for rolling it up built into the cover. Very soft comfortable top on the cover, and the foam itself is very comfortable in spite of being thinner foam than some other options. Would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the smell. Washed the cover and left the foam pad itself outside for a couple of days, steam washed the foam with an extractor, along with leaving it inside the storage bag with an ozone generator for a few hours but still a significant smell coming from the pad. Leaving it outside to just air out didn't help much at all, steam cleaning and leaving it in the bag with ozone helped cut down the smell a decent bit but still a long ways to go before I would consider the smell insignificant or minor. The cover at least didn't smell at all after washing it so I still have hope the smell isn't too persistent and will improve over time. I will definately leave it sitting outside at least a week or so more with a few more cycles with the ozone generator before I consider actually using it for camping, stunk up my whole car almost instantly even after over a day of sitting outside. ... show more

As a Chemo Mom, inpatient treatment has taken a toll. You seem to pack up almost the whole house, but we parents don't get a bed. I refuse to get a sleep room and be away when I can sleep right next to him and this is a game changer. It is the perfect size for any couch pullout at the hospital (and this includes about 4 different styles). UPDATE AGAIN. Comfort on this 3 inch pad is awesome. My wife's hips do not touch the ground and on the other similar pads they do. Quality of the mattress cover is outstanding no smell on that. I love this comes in a 6 foot size, the larger ones than this ROLLED UP are much bigger so bigger to store and carry around once rolled up. This is awesome that it is a bit shorter at 6 feet. Smell has been getting better each day. I think we might just keep this! I gave kind of a bad review as few days ago. As smell was pretty bad. Been out on the patio airing out for 3 or 4 days now and getting better. So will do final update more in a few days. Very very comfortable AND WE LOVE THAT THIS SMALLEST size is 6 feet. All others are bigger on the small size and this rolls up beautifully! Will check back in a few days ... show more

The picture shows the mattress rolled up nice and tight, however it is nearly impossible to roll it up as shown. It’s more folded and is hard to fit in its bag. The foam itself is comfortable to start, but after an hour or so under body weight it collapses. You can feel the hard floor of the back of my Outback. Overall it’s adequate for car camping. I definitely would want pack it up a trail to camp in a tent. ... show more
